Not a good day at all. Pluses: Miles look good. D-line looks like they will do OK. They at least look like a "real" football team in the first half The wildcat will do some damage against somebody.
Minuses: Special teams - horrible. blocked punt, blocked PAT. Corners - played way to soft, but I guess they didn't want to get burnt deep. but you got burnt anyway, so WTF! 3rd down play calling and execution on both sides of the ball was horrible. Running game was futile!

I am encouraged and see some very bright spots...
We need our DBs to step up, special teams to get better, Kindle more game experience, and running game to improve...
Our DL and OL seem ok, linebackers are making plays...
I predict we will be competitive this year and return to respectability in the MEAC soon!

We went to Boone out maned and played a hell of a first half. I agree with AggieGroove :I predict we will be competitive this year and return to respectability in the MEAC soon! That's it in a nut shell for this season (Respectability)!! As I have always stated "We will do better then some expect us to do" Let BCU or SCSU over look us are fall a sleep on us if they wont to. We go into the MEAC season clean and with on injuries we'll do just fine!!

I dont know fellas. I hate to play devils advocate but yall are drinking Aggie juice. "hell of a 1st half"??
If 21-0, no 3rd down stops, and a 98 yard TD drive allowed is a "hell of a half" then..............then.....I dont even know what to say to that.
We did look better than last year, but all I saw was Lewis and Miles. We'll probably be able to run more on some lesser talented teams, which will open up other stuff but thats about it. Coastal will be a HUGE game for this teams confidence.
I guess if some teams like Howard, Hampton and FAMU have fallen off we could sneak them, but i didn't see a lot to write home about today.

They were better in every area of football. I wanted to see a more wide open offense, but we rolled out with our QB in tack. Kindell will work wonders over the next three seasons. Broadway will bring in better talent. I do feel that we are MEAC mid-level contenders already.

I Do!! Aggie Monster I agree with what you are saying. but I'm looking at it from this stand point . Even if App State had 21pt. Look at what could have been (- Washburn Univ. vs Lincoln Univ. (MO) Washburn had 66pt at the half . Is that what you would have liked to see ?? The fact that we could hold App State to 21 shows me that they did and had to play (a Hell of a Half) just to be competitive. I think that their confidence boost came today in this lose . We knew going in what we had and what we needed. So to me holding a team like that to just 21 @ the half with all of the mistakes I read about that we made is Dame good.

I know the score got ugly but i saw a lot of promise on that field today into the third quarter. I'm really proud of our coaches. Coming from where we've been, moving that ball today was a beautiful thing. I think you had to be there to really appreciate it. Damn the score, I feel alright. Get your road money right cause this staff is going to take us ya'll.

Ditto, I think we will run the ball better. The O line did a remarkable job Kindle did not get touched. Kindle will learn to make better decisions. We do need to have Warren healthy though. For whatever reason, they singled Miles all night. He is too good a receiver for single coverage. MEAC will double him. Warren will make them pay. Would like to see R Lewis in the backfield on third down, as a running back.
