I know the video feed is probably because of the press box being down, but why dont we have an OFFICIAL audio link to go to BEFORE every game? It should be the first link/story on the website on gameday.

Are the post game and weekly press conferences available through Aggie Access?

Is the SID position vacant? The gamenotes link hasn't been updated since the App game.

Add padded seating to the reserve section for those Aggies who are willing to donate "just a little bit more" and pay a higher season ticket price.

Good afternoon everyone - I finally figured out how to get on the site and post replies (I think - we will see if this is successful). Thanks for all of the feedback and support. Let me try to respond to some of the suggestions; other ideas will require more research on my part before I can give an intelligent answer. In no particular order of priority:
1. Additional concession stand on the home side - I have no idea if or how that might be accomplished - I will follow up with Auxiliary Services to see what our options might be.
2. T-shirts for a 'gold out' or a 'blue-out' - a great idea, but probably not something we are going to be able to do for football this year - if we identified a sponsor for 22,000 shirts, even at $3 a pop, that is still $75k from a sponsor - it is something we may be able to pull off for a basketball game.
3. Communication - another fantastic point - what is the best way for us to communicate with our loyal fans and boosters? Is it this site? An electronic newsletter? An email? I would like to create a system for regularly sharing departmental news with our fans - what do you think is the best way?
4. Traffic from the back tailgating area to the home side of the stadium - if the weather holds for the next week, that problem will be solved before BCC. We will create a path from the west side of the fieldhouse that will take fans directly to the home side. That is already in motion with Physical Plant.
5. Internet feed for games - I will follow up with our SID for information on that problem. Sorry.
6. GameZone - if we sell out the stadium for Homecoming or Central, we will create a $5-10 Gamezone ticket for those who want to come in for just tailgating. The problem is that we have not sold out any game for years.
7. One hour after game Tailgating rule - THIS IS AN ERROR IN THE FINE PRINT ON THE TAILGATING PASS - the one hour language is only supposed to be on the back of the parking passes that are issued to people who park on Sullivan Street - the City of Greensboro requires that we reopen that street for public access no later than one hour after the game ends. The one hour language does not apply to anyone parking in one of our parking lots. In practice, no one has been asked to leave a parking area within one hour of game end, but I know that it has created some stress for people who felt like we were asking them to leave. Again, that language on any pass other than a Sullivan Street parking pass is a mistake, and does not apply to our parking lots. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks again for your wonderful feedback and support. This is such an exciting time in Aggie Athletics.

For the communication portion, it would be great if the website could be updated more often with up to date info.

Thanks for the responses. Coming on this site is a GREAT method for direct communication and response. As for general communication, I agree with mthollyaggie, The website www.ncataggies.com should be positioned as a realtime source for news and information for A&T athletics. Whatever resources it takes, (1)Creating an elective course for journalism, sports management, or computer students to work in the Sports Media office. or (2)Creating an avenue for free lance articles to be contributed (paid or unpaid), or (3) obviously hiring more staff or even a rotating internship. In the day and age of the 24-hr news cycle, a day late really is a dollar short. People can get frustrated with the program if we start some line of communication and don't sustain it for whatever reason. The basics should always be timely and consistent (i.e. pregame info, game results, post game reaction, pressers). I truly believe that athletics can be the "front porch" of the university if it is positioned that way. Upgrade www.ncataggies.com with better technology, more content and timely communication and we are on our way getting people hooked on A&T athletics. BTW, winning helps also.

So far I like the changes Earl Hilton and his office have made. It's obvious that most of the A&T fans on this site really hate change. But let's give these changes some more time. I think the Fan Zone was long over due. Too many non-paying folks have been partying free for too long on our campus. I understand that money is tight for folks but it is tighter for our athletic program. There's no rule that says the University should provide free tailgating to anyone that shows up. Yeah I know you rent the tailgating spot but that's a small amount.
Hey this is just my opinion and I'm sure most folks on this site will disagree. Have a great week and I'll see you at the game this weekend!

Mr. Hilton, thanks a bunch for addressing us. We all appreciate it. In response to a couple of your statements: 2. I don't know how much more feasible the yellow (gold) pom-pom idea would be than the t-shirts, but I know I've been to games in the past where towels or small footballs were handed out with so-and-so insurance or Parker Brothers' fish printed on them. I still have the insurance company football somewhere around here, and I got that back in '92. Another idea could be to sell yellow pom-poms right out front. If you can get them in bulk for 50 cents a piece and sell them for a dollar a piece, if you sell out you've made 100% profit. I know, that's a lot of ifs. As far as communication, to me the most important way to communicate is to have a strong, positive presence in the local rag. Everything stems from that. This site is nice, but only diehard fans come here regularly. If this site goes down tomorrow, we will find somewhere else to get our Aggie news. In my opinion we need to pull in casual and even non-fans. The day before yesterday I received pieces of a season preview for Aggie football in the mail. Most of it was missing, and it arrived in a plastic apology bag from the post office. Although this is the first season preview that I've received that was missing pages, I never have received one prior to the start of the season. To me that is a waste of money. If we can't get it out on time, why do it? We've got a communications department. We should be using it. The only reason anybody heard of Grambling is not Eddie Robinson. It's Collie Nicholson. He used the media to create the Grambling mystique. We need to do the same for Ayantee. Granted, it would be a lot easier if we were winning, but we can sow the seeds. Sorry to be so long winded. Oh yeah, please don't just come on here and answer questions. I'm betting I'm speaking for every person who posts regularly on this board when I say if you need help, we are willing. Just say the word and I'm certain a large number of us will do what we can to help. Thanks

marchingband1969...."U gud my brutha keep hope alive" was directed to you in your post.
Earl,
I would like to congratulate you on what I think were good head coaching hires within the athletic department. The one thing that I did not agree with (too early, not yet--wait until we are better) is the game zone.
Please refer to my post titled: "Suggestions for Chancellor Martin". Some of what I typed you may want to give some thought to and lend your input to the appropiate persons.
Best wishes!!!

Welcome to the site Athletic Director Hilton. I am very happy that you will provide first-hand interaction and information on issues that a lot of us Blue Death Valley members are eager to have and hear, respectively and respectfully.
Again, welcome aboard.

Mr. Hilton,
Will the football game (rivalry) between us and WSSU be renewed anytime in the near future? The majority of our fans and WSSU's fans want this rivalry to continue.
