Now...let me ask my question again. Do you honestly think we can attract such a coach that will NOT ask for the world in $$$ when it is presented to him what the TOTAL responsibility will be as head coach? If you say YES, it's for the sake of the argument, but if you are totally honest about our situation then, you'll understand the avg. coach will not take the risk of being unsuccessful. Right now, the position that we put our Basketball coach in, it is very difficult to be successful. Good coaches have good assistants, that's where we fall off, we don't have the funding to pay top notch assistant coaches.

If Eaves was to get fired, I wouldn't mind having Stitt as the head coach.

Todd Bozeman turned Morgan St's program around in NO TIME. Now before anyone says it, I am more than aware that Bozeman was looking for ANYWHERE to get back on his feet. However, the fact remains he took a moribund basketball program and has made it one of the MEAC''s best. Hill Gymnasium ain't the Dean Dome. It doesnt' even look as good as Corbett Gym. The Morgan job was 10x worse a job when Bozeman took it than what the Aggie job is now. I always hear this - especially on MEACfanszone - how if you bring a good coach into the MEAC, they'll fail because of the facilities and poor funding they're not use to.......what's Bozeman's excuse then for succeeding? ? The Morgan job was one of the absolute worst jobs to take -- yet where is Morgan now? ? How about the Bethune-Cookman position before Clifford Reed got hold of it??? One word: H-O-R-R-E-N-D-O-U-S. Their Moore Gym looks like our Moore Gym.........yet they win the regular season crown. I just don't get the constant excuses and outs we are giving our basketball program. I'm asking for changes so we can be tops in the MEAC, with the 10-yr future being an extremely solid mid-major. Those are REALSTIC GOALS. Ain't no one on here heard me saying we need to be challenging the Duke's and Carolina's of the world. I'm very realistic in my vision and the approach needed. Aggies have simply given up and believe we cannot get better, when there are programs who were in historically DEEPER SHAMBLES (Bethune-Cookman and Morgan) than we are. STOP WITH THE PESSIMISM AND GET ON BOARD TO IMPROVE OUR BASKETBALL PROGRAM......it is sickening to me to read some of the foolishness from some of you all. LOOK AROUND - WE ARE NOT DESTITUTE, ESPECIALLY ON THE MEAC LEVEL

baltimore kids want to stay in the city; look at bozeman's roster.. 9 kids from the maryland area.....north carolina kids are not loyal to anything but playing time..another thing, whether it's true or not, the perception is that Eaves doesnt like to play Fr...but the most startling point that a lot of people wont take into consideration, this generation has no record of A&T ever being good...when were we last good? These kids were born in the 90's and have no concept of A&T ever being good.

This is the amount Morgan State spent on basketball during the 09-10 FY: $912,541Morgan spent slightly less than A&T during this same year.

These kids were born in the 90's and have no concept of A&T ever being good. So did Baltimore kids want to stay in Baltimore BEFORE Bozeman got there? ? You're missing the point ----- IT'S THE COACH WHO INSTILLS A WINNING PROGRAM THAT ATTRACTS THE PLAYERS. Baltimore kids didn't want to go to Morgan pre-Bozeman because Morgan sucked..... Look at past Aggie greats - Kenny Cox, Thomas Griffis, Eric Boyd, Dana Elliott.....North Carolina born and bred. Eaves doesn't recruit North Carolina as well as he should. Greensboro, Burlington, Reidsville, Winston, High Point......we can get 25-50% of our basketball roster from <50 miles away.....IF HE SIMPLY RECRUITED MORE HERE. Even going slightly further - Durham, Raleigh, Charlotte, Danville. We are making things way too hard. You see all the figures from our MEAC foes. As what I've stated before - it's now how much money you have - it's how well you're using it. I'm sorry - I just cannot see a situation where A&T cannot succeed on an MEAC or mid-major level over time.......

without knowing exactly what their funds were spent on, those spending figures are almost meaningless. good as general info, but everybody doesn't have the same costs and expenses. so budgets can be a little misleading without knowing what the funds were specificly spent on...
