Ron Frances, Elvin Bethea, Allan Hooker, Pee Wee Boyd are the only four that qualify!!!!!!!
You may want to consider Hornsby Howell if you talking 'bout coaches too.

Hicks set a single game division I record for rushing yards in a game and he's the single season rushing record holder. Ain't he also the school's leading career rusher in only two years?
Bethea's a pro hall-of-famer. I'm not that familiar with what he did in college though.
Hayes won more games that anybody and a bcf national championship.
Howell won a bcf national championship.
Deloatch set some records on special teams.
Small (don't shoot me) won a championship as a coach and I think as a player.
Hooker seems to make people daydream when his name is mentioned, but he only won one championship and I don't know what records he set.
McNeil set a single season I-AA sack record.
All that to say I don't know if you can narrow it to four but several names simply can't be left off any top four list.

Sounds to me like you can't leave him off either.

I go a little different results due to a different era but: 1. Ellsworth Turner - Best pure passer in A&T history...check him out...beat Harry Carson and that great SCSU team in Memorial! 2. Mo Hicks - Should we ask... 3. Pee Wee Board - Consensus AA as a freshman... 4. Elvin Bethea - Got this party started...
