If it's gonna be a package deal, which combo would you like to see come to Aggieland? BTW: I know McCellland is at TSU now but he used to be at PV and was the person who hired Frazier. Check out his bio: www.tsu.edu/pages/2916.asp

Now here's a poll that makes a lotta sense and anyway you vote you pretty much are upping the ante.
Has anyone stopped to think that the combo that may actually be hired this month could be different from just these six names or not necessarily paired in that order of the ones listed?
Hmmmm.

If we had to pick from the HBCU ranks, there's no one I would like more than McLelland.
He was dealt with some of the worst budgets and resources in 1-AA football and has now built winners at both PV and Texas Southern.
He knows how to deal with HBCU politics and impact change. He has an MBA and he brought in over $300,000 by himself in his first year at TSU.
If you guys are looking for a miracle worker, he's your man.

i agree with a1. any of the 3 pairs would be an upgrade. i tend to favor hayes/maynor. but there's only a hair lash between hayes/maynor and mcclelland/frazier. i'd be equally excited about those two pairs...

Good question, a combination of George Koonce & Cornell Maynor would be excellent and most likely a long term solution. For those of you who don't know George Koonce, he's a former athletic director at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a former starting linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, a hall of famer at East Carolina University and knows a lot of people who will help him move A&T into the championship arena. He's only 42 years old and yes he has applied for the job.

The perfect hire, in my opinion, would be McClelland and Maynor. A1 you brought up a great point that it might not be these names paired together. My gut feeling is Hayes and Maynor because I think A&T will do the easiest and most fan friendly hire.

I'm feeling like it won't make a bit of difference unless the infrastructure changes drastically.

Southern & Prairie View, A&T wouldn't be much of a problem, if Chancellor Martin is motivated to let him fix it, if hired.

As bad as our infrastructure currently is, McCelland would think he hit a gold mine if he came to A&T.
You guys don't realize how hard is it to win at PV and Texas Southern. No real fan or community support whatsoever.
Hell, TSU played their game against JSU this year in the same stadium my high school football team uses. The stadium is way on the SW side of Houston and TSU is located in 3rd Ward, in the South Central side of Houston.

As a member of a family full of sTu and Pee Vee Alums, I know first hand of their ineptness to winning. Heck this guy, along with some smooth politics, got Tx. Southern in that new Dynamo Stadium that is being built. And PV is planning on building a new stadium ASAP.
