I love the landscaping. I am not crazy about the tower.

Looks real WSSUish to me. I pictured a more modern looking tower. Why not a glass bell tower. I mean its obvious we never had one so we should go for a look that will signify A&Ts charge into the future while showcasing our history.
Its a nice plain tower tho.

PLAIN. Yep, that's the right word for it. I had trouble decribing my thoughts but you hit the nail on the head. The funny part is whatever the conceptual design is, the actual building usually ends up PLAIN-er because the money runs short. I remember seeing somewhere the conceptual design for Aggie Stadium. The actual stadium is much different.

I kinda agree with everything that has been said thus far...First off did anybody notice there is No clock on the tower...that doesn't sit well with me...lol I think if we are going to build a tower, it should be something that is an instant icon for the university...like the A&T Four Statue....Looking at the location of the future tower you notice that its between Aggie Village (Brick and Stone buildings) and The new Education and General Classroom Buildings (glass and steel)...I honestly wouldn't mind a tower that mixed the classical brick style with a more contemporary glass and steel style... this is the tower at Minnesota State University Mankato: I know its kinda plain, but the glass at the top i found to be rather interesting. Also i wouldn't mind something we could light up on special occasions (commencements, Athletic Victories, Homecoming, etc...) to start new traditions with our university...imagine the tower is blanketed by blue or gold lighting after a big win in Aggieland...something to think about ;D

I do like the idea of a clock tower rather than a bell tower.

I like the Charlotte Tower... Anything is better than the design we have now. At least have the seal light up or blue and gold something on it.
Trust me after time whatever design will be dated and aged just like what they are going for now, but if we stick with the classical approach instead of innovative wont we be cheating our mission?

Whatever the design it definitely needs a clock. It is already difficult for us to respect time.

I agree, the Tower Charlotte has is my favorite out of the bunch..and it goes with the rest of the quad that it overlooks...I think something with a touch of innovation would be nice, just as long as we don't slide over to the realm of gaudy and tacky... to be real, i'll be happy as long as it's bigger than that Stump over in Winston and anything Central Constructs ;D Whatever the design it definitely needs a clock. It is already difficult for us to respect time. HA! SO TRUE.... I was thinking The tower's height should be significant to the University's founding year for instance making it 1,891 feet tall...that is until i did the math and realized that would make the Tower 189 stories tall

We sure are a never satisfied bunch aren’t we? I’m thinking if A&T built the equivalent of Big Ben in the spot, we would find a reason as to why it isn’t good enough. I think the Bell tower design is fine. Based on the scale of the people around the base, it will be a very tall and prominent structure. It would have to be since there are no buildings in the immediate surroundings. Also, a clock tower may possibly be a waste at that location since it would be difficult to see the face unless it is very large (extra money). Take a look at WSSU's tiny clock. That little clock wouldn't help me..…..but bells can be heard. The bells would add the ambiance of campus life, especially if they can be tuned to play the first few licks of “Dear A&T”. I would turn the bells off after 9:00 pm though.
