UNCC has heard about the turnout we had at Wake and are in panic mode. They're letting their students in free for this one in an effort to off-set the crowd we may bring.
Are there any buses coming from Greensboro?

I don't have the information that you seek, but I don't think that Halton Arena will be soldout before tipoff.

They dont have online sales for this one. The can take it over the phone, I called fri. and the guy said that 'believe me there will be seats'. So I'm going on the fly, to sit where the Aggies are. I'm just going early.

Halton seats around 8,000 so theres no need to worry. They will probably have the upper levels curtained off.

49ers Defeats Gardner-Webb, 74-60, In The First Round of the WNIT Courtesy: Charlotte Sports Information Release: 03/18/2010
CHARLOTTE, NC - Kendria Holmes led five 49ers in double-figures with a career-high 22 points as the Charlotte 49ers (18-13) won their 13th straight home game with a 74-60 win over Big South regular-season champion Gardner-Webb (28-5) in the first round of the WNIT.
"It is exciting to win a postseason game at home in front of your fans," Charlotte coach Karen Aston said. "We have played pretty well the last couple of weeks and that continued tonight. Kendria Holmes carried over her play from the A-10 Tournament. She looks much more comfortable running our team. I felt that our post players Erin Floyd, Ashley Spriggs and Jennifer Hailey were the difference in the game. They were terrific."
Holmes scored 14 of her career-high 22 points in the first half. Holmes also grabbed a career-high eight rebounds. Spriggs recorded her 11th double-figure scoring game in Charlotte's last 13 games with 12 points. Shannon McCallum recorded 11 points with eight rebounds. Aysha Jones scored 11 points. Floyd recorded her first double-double of the season and the sixth of her career with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Hailey scored seven points off the bench.
Gardner-Webb was led in scoring by Courtney Epps who scored 17 points off the bench. The 49ers held Big South Player of the Year Margaret Roundtree to two points and three rebounds. Roundtree's two points came with 20 seconds left in the game.
Charlotte, who never trailed in the game, scored 19 of the first 23 points taking a 19-4 lead when Floyd scored with 11:30 left in the 1st half. McCallum, Holmes, Spriggs and Hailey also scored during the 49ers' run.
The 49ers maintained a lead of 10-15 points for the next four minutes until Epps capped off a 5-0 run by Gardner-Webb cutting the 49ers lead to 27-18 with 7:08 left in the 1st half.
Holmes stopped the Gardner-Webb run with a jump shot at the 6:44 mark pushing the 49ers lead back to double-figures at 29-18.
Gardner-Webb would cut the 49ers lead to single digits twice over the next couples of minutes. With Charlotte leading 32-23 with 5:36 left in the half, the 49ers scored 13 of the half's final 20 points taking a 45-30 lead into the locker room.
Early in the second half, Gardner-Webb cut the 49ers lead to 12 points twice. With Charlotte leading 49-37 at the 14:25 mark, the 49ers went on a 9-0 run over the next two and half minutes taking their largest lead of the game 58-27 when McCallum completed an old fashioned three-point play at the 12:17 mark.
Gardner-Webb cut the 49ers lead to 12 points on two occasions over the final 12 minutes of the game but timely free throw shooting by Holmes and Jones closed out the 49ers' 74-60 first round WNIT win.
Charlotte will host North Carolina A&T in the second round of the WNIT in Halton Arena, Sunday, March 21 at 3 pm.
