Is this the first game we've been down at the half? I don't believe so! Anyway, I expect us to come out fighting in the 2nd half!

Wen was the last time the girls won a game at Hampton...it seems to be the road team they can't quite get past

Sounds like Hampton caught fire from behind the arc in the second half.

Final!
Cook and Calvin no factor at alll.....Hampton guards totally outplayed our guards tonight.
J Sams and Berry have big games but it not enough!
Ok, Aggies tighten up ....Hampton now thinks they have the recipe to beat us!

We haven't been this far down since the Auburn game! That's an awful long stretch of good basketball so to be honest....these ladies have far exceeded my expectations. ;D ;D ;D Now go out and win the championship! I hope we see Hampton back in the championship game!

Hampton gave us our only regular season conference loss 2 years ago too...and took us to overtime in the conference tourney that year too.
This should be an interesting tournament

Not saying that there was any added pressure to go undefeated, if there was, thats gone now. Time to focus on getting that championship.

i was at this game and it hurts to admit it but quite honestly, hampton clearly "outplayed" us. they definitely wanted the game more than we did. and their guards just dominated our guards, ripped them to shreds! against our half court man to man defense, hampton's guards got to the cup (off the dribble) any time they wanted to, almost at will. it was that bad. and the real tweet and the real calvin didn't show up for this game. defensively, hampton's guards shut them both down. if we play hampton again in the tournament, our guards had better step it up or bibbs had better play a lot of half court zone because hampton's guards were much quicker than ours, at least on this night they were. they blew right by our guards "off the dribble" for easy layups whenever we played half court man to man defense. and they knocked down open 3's with relative ease as well.
to me, it was a classic case of who wanted the game the most and the clear answer was hampton. we "definitely" did not bring our "a" game for this one. hampton out hustled us, they were way more energetic, and more focused. it "appeared" to me that our ladies came into this game a little overconfident, at least that's how it looked. and i don't think it helped that we had such an easy time with howard two nights before playing hampton, i think it gave us a false sense of superiority.
but i'm not gonna panic. i still believe if we bring our "a" game, no meac team can beat us. but it's simply hard to do every single night, it starts to take a toll on you over time. no other team in the meac has to take everybody's best shot but us, especially on the road. and this loss must have really been disturbing to coach bibbs and our ladies. when on the road, normally they come out after their game and sit with the rest of the aggie supporters behind the aggie men's bench. but after this game, they didn't come back into the arena at all. i don't know if they went straight back to greensboro or not, but they never came back into the arena, not even coach bibbs. even two years ago (when we loss to hampton at hampton) they came back into the arena afterwards.
well, hopefully our ladies will regroup and recommit themselves to winning the regular season and tournament championships. the only real bright spot that i saw was that jee sams re-emerged in this game and mona played well also. berry scored 20 points but a lot of her points came during desperation time at the end of the game when we were taking a bunch of 3's. this game was definitely a wakeup call. i still think we can beat them, but we have to play just as hard as they do. and clearly we did not do that in this game...
