Oleschool, Seems our bigs stay hurt quite a bit. Is that pretty common with girls over 6'1" . naw, i wouldn't say its necessarily common for bigs. the only injury that "seemingly" is disproportionately common is acl injuries amongst female basketball players. i can think of 3 or 4 times as many female basketball players, compared to males, that suffered acl injuries. but i think deblanc's problem, according to reports, is more of an illness than an injury. sometimes a team just gets snakebitten by injuries. like the washington wizards. until recently, they always had major injuries to their key players. i use to think injuries had a lot to do with the strength and conditioning program, or the lack thereof. but i've found out that's not always the case. sometimes a team just gets unlucky. but if there's a time of the season to have injuries, november and early december would be the time. thank gawd mona looks to be rounding back into shape. hopefully tweet's back problems are now history. and i'm not sure what jee sams' injury was but hopefully she's approaching 100% now. but deblanc is a different story. they said she had trouble breathing when the team played in new mexico. hopefully it had something to do with the thin air there and not a cardio problem. i'm thinking the staff is probably playing it cautious with her by bringing her along very slowly, which would be smart. but it would really hurt us if she's not available for the rest of the season...

We've got to tighten up on the defensive end.

I'm not very happy with this defensive effort, but I guess the game was a shoot-out.

Bullock and Alford did not play. It looks like Tweet was out top scorer again with 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting and she also had 2 steals, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Calvin finished with a career high 18 points , Tierra Thomas had 16, Murdaugh has 13, and Sams added 8 points on 4-of-5 shooting. Lamona had 11 rebounds and 6 points. We were up by 13 at halftime and as much as 26 in the second half. Like I predicted, we punished this team. www.ragincajuns.com/newLiveStats/Basketball/index.html?GAME_STAT_ID=454876&db_oem_id=15400
