I though the SCSU was a road game.
$100K for a Nov. game in Aggie Stadium, after offering NSU $25K to move their game, now that's funny. What's the basis of a request like. You do realize that this is the MEAC and our only recourse is probably to accept the forfeit if they don't show up. It’s unlikely there is a actual contract for conference games.
The absolute best we can expect is back to back returns trips Greensboro if they forfeit.

i'm not a lawyer, so i don't know the legal ramifications or meac regulations, but i think we're in a win win situation. its one thing to forfeit your own home game, but in this case dsu is potentially forfeiting someone else's home game. dsu should be liable for that, especially if we're prohibited from playing another opponent.
i think the only way we get screwed is if somehow the commish/meac screws us which i don't think will happen. the commish/meac enforced the conference schedule in favor of nsu, i would expect the same for us. dsu will either have to "play us or pay us"... ;D

I think you’re right about SC State being a road game this year. Why the game is in bold type face (as a home game) on the A&T site is a mystery.
Anyway, that just adds to the potential problems of losing this game. If we lose the date, University Day would have to be early.....either the NSU or Hamp game.

No way in hell they forfeit a conference game...At the end of the day, They'll just have to take an L on the $ .. Man, this is a new day in a weak azz confederation called MEAC Conference. The MEAC has a weak leader and a weaker board of directors. HBCUs' athletic budgets are in financial distress. If A&T wants this issue resolved to their benefit, A&T will have to "carry the water" to make it happen in ways never thought possible in the MEAC. A satisfactory solution may involve having A&T go against the MEAC, also. A&T can be proactive and schedule a team to replace Del State regardless of what the MEAC rules are and if required, A&T can petition the NCAA to exactly that. This issue will definitely let us see what type of leadership A&T has at the helm.

So still no resolution to this PROBLEM, and now DSU is saying, "it's our problem", why would we even reschedule the game if the Conference never gave the O.K.! as HUGGY would say, This is some Bullshiggdy! so is our LAST Home Game on Nov 14th or Homecoming, Oct 31, 2009?

Good questions. I think we are in need of some type of official statement from the A&T leadership.

Maybe DSU should call Michigan and get them to move the UM-Ohio State game so that DSU can honor the A&T contract.

Although it looks bad for the conference, I have no problem with getting paid to skip DSU. I probably wouldn't have gone to that one anyways.
