You're gonna hate me for this but...
What's winning? I mean to me and to you it's being nationally competitive. To Ms. Suzie it's winning homecoming since it's the only game she attends. To Mr. Jackie it's beating Central, Winston, and winning homecoming since he want's to be able to brag to his cousins from Central and Winston. To the board, it's probably not having to hear a request for a budget increase from the A.D. and not reading about a 27 game losing streak.
Those things that are necessary to bring winning programs to the school have the faces of deceased white men on them. And it takes a lot of them and they have to be properly utilized.

First of all, this university has to come up with a plan to get those dead presidents from fans, alumni and corporate sponsors.
The next fundraising initiative our see from our athletic department will be the first ....
... And we still don't market what we already have worth a crap (That's your cue Ms. Joya Cook)

That is clearly step one. It's been public knowledge for eons. Yet has it ever really been acted upon?

You know what, now that I think about it Ragsdale might be the right man for the job.
He can definitely inspire his players to perform and he can create a game plan like nobody's business.
That decision to try a onside kick on his first two possessions was simply brilliant. Really set a tone there.
Dooms, you've won me over. Let the Ragsdale era begin!
