Saabman and OSA can say whatever the hell they want, as far as I’m concerned. Their credibility ain’t whom I’m questioning… In fact, if there’s a press conference on Monday, the first question that needs to be asked is:
WHY DID YOU WAIT UNTIL THE LAST PART OF THE LAST QUARTER OF THE LAST GAME OF THE FREAKIN’ YEAR TO TROT HOOKER OUT THERE?
Seriously, if no media personality asks that on Monday, then all press credentials of those in the room need to be revoked.

…..and with all of this, y’all feel Coach Brown knows what the hell he’s doing and want to keep him as our coach for 5-10 years as we go through the growing pains of the CAA? This is a glaring indictment on Brown and Young. They don’t even know what personnel they have on their own team. Yet somehow they know what to look for on the recruiting trail…. Miss me on that one. He’s tricked off 1 year….he only has half of 2024 to show me something. He does not deserve to be our head coach all the way through the end of the 2024 season if he doesn’t show me he’s CAA ready. I encourage everyone else to demand better. ….and I would not be the least bit upset if Hooker decided to transfer. What he said.

Hooker played well last year in the several games that he played in. I don't know how in the hell he has been overlooked by this (p)roefessinalll staff.
Damn if they saw his tape from last year at all they should have seen he was better than Eli.
This staff and head coach better put it in gear and recognize the talent that is noteworthy.
Hooker's bloodline is for real.
Was there a conspiracy against Hooker?

Alston Hooker in the eyes of some is not a CAA-calibre starting QB. I understand that he is, as many of you on this board and the broadcast team stated at least 3 times today, "Aggie Royalty,"but in the opinion of the decision-makers in the blue polos and khaki pants, he's not quite ready for prime time.
What I believe (and it's what I believe) is that the battle for the position heading into spring ball will be between Brickhandler and White. I'm willing to wager the cost of the braces I just got on my teeth that Zach Yeager is outta here via the portal, as are any other QB's on the roster, some of whom will probably be cut. Remember...White is a BROWN recruit!
It is my sincere desire that we offer Andrew Attmore, II, the record-setting QB from Dudley. He's 6'2/205 and can beat you with his arm and legs. I know White is a dual-threat guy, but Attmore is a bruiser with finesse. I dern sure hope we get him! He's a smart kid, as he attends The Early College at A&T, and can legit graduate in 3 weeks and enroll in January, and participate in spring drills.
Who knows what the coaching staff will do, but it is CLEAR that the entire roster will be evaluated, and I'm willing to go on a limb and say that of the 97 or so names that appear on the published roster on the ncataggies.com website right now, I betcha 37 won't be on it as of August 1, 2024.

Was White a Brown recruit? I thought the prior staff recruited him.
As far as Brown only getting another year or whatever, unless we’ve completely changed from what we’ve basically always done, he won’t leave until he’s ready or until close to the end of the final year on his contract, no matter how poorly we do.
I’m fond of Brown but the handling of Hooker has been problematic. I didn’t stunt for him as hard as the dynamic duo, but I have called for him on a number of occasions. Now whether he shone so bright because he played against a shitty Campbell defense, they were utterly unprepared for him because they had no earthly idea who he was, or some combination thereof, he shone brightly. And in doing so made the offensive staff look stupid than hell, Periodt. That falls on the head guy.
I doubt he transfers. And I think at some point somebody will have enough sense to put him out there and leave him out there. Some cats have intangibles. He’s obviously one of those cats.

Dooms: I think Barnette and Sam initially had White on their board, but Brown said in an interview that W&M liked White and when he got the job, he pursued him and got him. I highly doubt that he's given up on him in favor of Eli and/or Hooker, and I bet my braces that he's going to tell him in his one-on-one next week to get ready for the QB battle in March drills.
As far as the roster overhaul, I believe (and I have an internal peep card) that Brown is going to turn over about 30 percent of the current roster if not more. We don't necessarily have to carry 100 players in the program to be successful, and from what I can sense about Brown and his staff, their mentality, as they try to get to "Elite Status," is to promote QUALITY players over numbers. Watch our roster max out between 80-85 for the '24 season.

Why don't you just say what the real problem is and call a spade a spade. This had nothing to do with prime time but more to do with a Walk On out preforming the scholarship players that Brown Inherited from Washington and a Coaching staff that refused to give the kid a shot until the last game . I think Brown or whomever was thinking that Hooker would fail and not be able to move the offense but it backfired because the kids are balling.

Brown just had to keep the kid on the hook but he was already committed to A&T .

WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN?
First and foremost, we're going to evaluate every aspect of our program –from how we do things, to the coaches, how we call plays – and look at what changes need to be made for the betterment of our program," Brown said. "Then, our focus is shifting to recruiting. If you look at our team compared to some of the teams we faced this season, we need more size on both sides of the ball, especially defensively. So, our focus is on finding some bigger-body guys up front to help us stop the run defensively.
The quarterback position is where you're always looking to find someone who can take the reins and lead your team. If you look at the teams that are having success in the CAA, the quarterbacks are playing excellent football. They're not just managing the game but giving their teams a chance to win. So, we'll consistently evaluate how we can get the guys here or someone else who can give us that consistent play to help us compete on a conference and national level."

White was a verbal committee when Washington was HC. All Brow had to do was sign him . White was all in on A&T before Brown got the job and if he says otherwise he is a Damn liar.

In One Quarter, Alston Hooker threw for 159 yds and 1 TD. Let that marinate for a sec.

It means he knows he F up not giving Hooker a shot for one and trying deflect 😆 I was all in on Brown but now after seeing how he manages his talent scholarship and walk-on . I'm not holding my breath for him.
