Comparing the stats of A&T with that of the last 4 teams, we all give up similar amount of points to the opposing team. Stalemate. This gives us a chance in winning any of the last 4 games. The concern as we all know is the huge difference in our offensive performance versus them. We are terrible. Can we turn it around in maybe 1 or 2 of these last 4 games and outscore someone? The stats show our defense can not win the game for us alone. The Hampton and Towson games are our best chances. caasports.com/stats.aspx?path=football&year=2023

Hampton summary: A&T offense did not out score their offense like they needed to do. One of our scores was from the defense (pick 6 int.). One of their scores was from a KO return.
A&T defense kept the opponent close to our season defense avg of 29 ppg. Hampton scored 26 pts.
Hampton defense did much better on keeping A&T below their season defense avg of 34 ppg. We were only able to muster 24 pts against the 2nd worst defense in the CAA.

Nope, next question. This season is done for me. I've accepted that we're not very good this season. I just want the players to get more reps and improve their skills.

I still think we can possibly win every game on the remaining schedule. We just have to play mistake-free football which is almost impossible for this team.

I really believe that we SHOULD & COULD prevail at GHOE, but it will all boil down to execution. But after that, 2 HARD L’s, with the possibility of Campbell running the score & the Aggies, out of Aggie Stadium. Best case scenario is a 2-9 season, but 1-10 is a real probability.
Then it will be on to the last place picked basketball season (men’s), & that’s going to be uglier than football was.

When you’re not as good as your competition your margin for error decreases substantially. We’re not a team that can drop passes, miss blocks, miss tackles, have bad snaps, fumble , throw picks, drop punts, get plays in slowly, have punts blocked, call the right play at the wrong time, or even have a penalty call go against us or have the refs miss a penalty we should’ve had called for us. One or more of those things happen and with each one the other team’s chances to win snowball dramatically. When you’re a better team you can overcome one or more of those things.
We’re having difficulty getting the smaller things right consistently at the present time. If we consistently get the basics done we’ll incrementally improve. The problem is we still have some, well actually almost all, of the above occurring late in the season.
Anything is possible, but to quote Coach Brown, it’ll be a lot more probable if we can eliminate the things that cause you to lose.

Watching the game will not change the fact on how "both teams" did compared to their seasonal average offensive or defensive performance per game, which was the point of my post. I needed to highlight in my original post that the offense of "both teams" don't get credit for points scored by either their defense or special teams.

I think Towson is our best shot

I think Towson is our best shot I agree and with it being homecoming it gives the team and coaches more incentive to win the game and not disappoint so many fans/supporters.
