I know what "some" freshmen do. And I really don't care what high school or conference she played in. My post said 'experienced D1 transfer', not freshman from best high school or conference. In NO way did my comment come close to wanting anything both ways. #DoBetter saab is correct, this young lady played in one of "the best" high school conferences in the country which is the "wcac". its an "all private school" conference, so schools in this conference can "recruit" players from anywhere in the country and trust me, they do. its considered the "sec" of high school basketball conferences. i know because i was previously a girls varsity basketball head coach in that conference, so i know that conference extremely well. "top quality" basketball players come from the wcac conference. as her video stated, she had a "mcdonald's all american" on her team which is not uncommon in the wcac. "numerous" wnba players come from the wcac... She played along side Hannah Hidalgo is all I needed to know about the HS conference and that she was probably well coached at HS. We will see how much she will contribute to our team next season. We are returning a veteran team so it maybe difficult getting significant minutes to display her full talent. I watched Kylie for Dallas Mavericks play like a bum for 2 games in half of a game then play like the MVP of the league the 2nd half of the game. Freshmen will not have that long of a rope before being benched. Just saying. I love that she signed with us.

I love that she signed with us. yes, the conference that she played in is basically akin to an "aau league". the best of the best play in the wcac. understandably, wcac schools "usually" completely dominated public high school teams whenever they played them cuz public high school teams cannot "legally" recruit athletes but private schools can. so when you observe wcac recruits who don't have "eye popping" stats akin to what we see with public school players, that's because the "competition level" in the wcac is at a much higher level than in public school leagues. my daughter played in both. freshman and sophomore years she played in the wcac, junior and senior years she played public school. of course she was much younger during her freshman and sophomore years, but she only scored more than 20 points twice in the wcac. whereas in the public school conference, she scored over 30 points in 4 or 5 games, but that was because the competition level wasn't nearly as strong as the wcac...
