Well, we now know where all the tall defensive linemen went. I even saw a 6'6" starting linebacker. I don't think I'm going to tune in to this game. Hopefully we will come out of this game with no injuries so we can "rebound" against NCCU. There is nothing on this depth chart that stands out to me outside of the NT . Other then that physically it's evenly matched . Now we just have to see if our talent matches up to theirs or theirs to ours. This is a winnable game . I saw the same thing that you saw. The NT raised my eyebrow...and from what I understand, the strength of their unit...the Defensive Line, plays to the strength of our unit which is our offensive line. Aside from that, I didn't see any glaring physicality that said we were just going to be bullied and overmatched. Regardless, we'll know more on Thursday Night.

I just finished watching the Dilfer presser, and within 26:04 video, and there was a total of about 1:00 or so where he talked specifically about T. He was using the old "it's more about what we do and how we execute" defense.
Either they think this will be a walk in the park or just haven't really done specific film study on us (even though in his minute of time about us he did state with new staff looking at old film wouldn't suffice).
Ready to hop on this bird and get to Alabama.

I don't think that he thinks this is going to be a walk in the park game . Truthfully I think he is sweating and worried about what we may do to them π that saying goes both ways π. Also he has more to lose if he loses to a unranked FCS program that happens to be an HBCU . His walks across campus will not be enjoyable one bit. Hell even if the game is close it's going to be uncomfortable ππ€£π

The expectation has been set. He ain't trying to do any less than his predecessor.

I am sure UAB thinks we are the NC version of Alabama A&M. I think the size and physicality of our O line is gone catch them off guard.

I was all set to roll out of Tallahassee early on Wednesday morning for Birmingham. Now it looks like we will get a pretty good shot from Hurricane Idalia right around that same time. If we don't get beaten up too badly and we still have power and no damage at the house, I'll still try to leave that afternoon or very early on Thursday morning.
If I have to cancel, I'll fly up for the Aggie-Eagle Classic.

A&T will play two quarterbacks in season opener against UAB By Skip Foreman
Two quarterbacks, one with limited experience and the other with no college experience at all, will lead the North Carolina A&T offense when the Aggies launch the tenure of new head coach Vincent Brown in the season opener at UAB on Thursday, the coach said on Monday. Brown said Eli Brickhandler and Kevin White will share duties under center in the game at Birmingham, which kicks off at 8 p.m. EDT. The former All-Pro linebacker with the New England Patriots and former defensive coordinator at William & Mary said the two bring different qualities to the position. βEli is a talented athlete, surprisingly fast,β Brown said. βHe can really run, so he presents problems if the play breaks down in the passing game. Heβs got a strong arm, quick release, good decision-making. He knows the offense.β Last year, White was leading the offense for Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he threw for 3,819 yards and 49 touchdowns. He also ran for 13 scores. He committed to A&T last December.
