Our NIL has options as low as a cup of Coffee a month. (Metaphor). I don't feel it. And I'm glad that the Players can get some $$. They have to work year around on their Bodies/Craft, as opposed to back in the day.
A&T vs The Rest of the CAA, on the Budget question, has work to do I understand. So, if a Player likes our intangibles, as opposed to the Others, then that NIL $$ will be something.
I Like that we are getting in the NIL Game, and it is easy as heck.
It seemed like we wanted to be FBS yrs ago, but the reality of holding on to our Brand while not playing a MEAC schedule not powered by those former Attendance numbers, has made it a tougher hill to climb. (The Big South- we were gaining-). Also included, the Chancellor is retiring.
So here we are. The CAA. I want us to turn the corner and win in this League, with the Band-Wagoners in our stands or not. ( And also send guys to The League).

Got that right 😆 🤣 😂 A&T-roy didn't say he was talking to a woman (in her 20s) with a son about to go to college ,he said he was talking to a woman (in her 20s) about her son going to college . # Words Matter I guess either scenario is possible. Many years ago I worked with a 29 year old who was a grandma. 🤪

That's my joke for the day! That happens more than you think. The ISD that I worked at in Texas had three middle schoolers that were pregnant at the same time. One was in the 6th grade, one in the 7th grade and one in the eighth grade.

She, actually, went to A&T and got a degree in Electrical Engineering. Worked as an Engineer for 10-15 yrs and decided to go to dental school (don't know where).

For college football I believe a coach should aim between a 60/40 to 70/30 split in favor of HS recruits over transfers. Transfers to other universities are going to happen no matter whether we recruited the player from HS or portal. We need to "continue" working hard on our retainment of players.

I'm not so sure split numbers should be pre-determined. I think numbers should end up being what one believes is needed to be successful each year.

I keep coming in here, everyday, looking for a commitment from a transfer & experienced DT (6'3 285+) or NT (6'0+ & 300+). Now I'm only coming in here every 4 or 5 days looking for a 300 or so, FBS transfer, NT. An experienced 300+ D2 NT might also fit the bill. I don't expect we'll pick up just any Joe Blow off the street, so I'd be ok with either one.

I'm liking this Depth. Seems like those "running out of gas" days are getting behind us. I hope that we get some pass rush out of this Class too. Welcome Young Man.

I said "aim" which meant for a coach to set as a goal. If he has to color outside the lines a few times, but the following season self correct to get back within his overall goal so be it. How many HS recruits versus transfer players would be different each season depending on what you lost from each group the previous year, but the ratio goal would remain the same. 60/40 to 70/30 split is a wide range to operate.
