Chancellor Martin has not been accountable at any point since we announced the move to the CAA. Why should he start now? Can you explain what the Chancellor needs to be held accountable for? He signed off on us going to a top-3 FCS conference with many other benefits. Let’s slow down with the criticisms in this regard.

I concur Aggie 2004. Was it ever stated that an announcement would be made on the 4th or that a DECISION would be made. There is a difference.

Chancellor Martin is held accountable by the UNC Board of Governors. The UNC Board of Governors is the policy-making body legally charged with the “general determination, control, supervision, management, and governance of all affairs of the constituent institutions.” It elects the president, who administers the University.
North Carolina A&T State University Five-Year Goals and Associated Benchmarks
FIVE-YEAR GOALS AND ASSOCIATED INTERIM BENCHMARKS In January 2017, the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina unanimously approved Higher Expectations, a five-year Strategic Plan for the UNC System. The Plan calls on the UNC System to achieve ambitious goals in access, student success, affordability and efficiency, economic impact and community engagement, and institutional excellence and diversity.
Progress on these goals and metrics will be achieved through the hard work and commitment of institutional leaders, faculty, and staff. In that spirit, North Carolina A&T has identified these contributions that N.C. A&T aspires to make to the UNC Strategic Plan over the next five years.
No where does it say athletics...
Seems like some of you believe athletics should be the Chancellors #1, #2 and #3 concern vs what the BOG has set out as a priority.

I believe that if state funds are being used to fund the position, the position has to be open for at least 30 days before it can be filled. This means the earliest an announcement will be made is the week of January 16th.
