Aggies, Runnin' Bulldogs Play For Big South Championship In Boiling Springs
The Aggies are looking for their third conference championship under head coach Sam Washington.

NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES (7-3, 4-0 Big South): It is championship week for North Carolina A&T and Gardner-Webb. It is winner take all in Boiling Springs. What will the winner take? For starters, the winner will be the 2022 outright Big South Conference champion. It would be A&T's first and perhaps last Big South title as the program moves to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) next season. The winner will also get the Big South's automatic bid to the Division I-FCS playoffs, which starts Nov. 26. The Aggies are looking for their first playoff appearance since 2016. The Aggies could have made a few more playoff appearances lately, but their former conference, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), forfeited its automatic bid in 2015 to allow its champion to play in the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta against the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) champion.
