Is that just your emotions talking again or do you have some actual proof to support that opinion? It’s a known fact. Do you have proof that it isn’t true? You mean besides the fact that no official from the MEAC has ever stated anything like that? You, like everyone else here, are entitled to your opinion - but let's not present those opinions as something that has actually happened. That would be misinformation, not just an opinion.

Really?
“The streets are mad…”
I guess I’m too old to deal with homemade headlines.

Yeah, you are getting old 😀 The “streets” (Twitter and Facebook) are the equivalent of the old MEAC Fans message board.

Points of clarification: You'll never get any MEAC member chancellor and president to speak out against any PWI joining. Moreover, I am not aware of any PWI desiring to join during the Celebration Bowl era, except for Chicago State, who's a Federally mandated PBI.

Yeah, you are getting old 😀 The “streets” (Twitter and Facebook) are the equivalent of the old MEAC Fans message board. Yeah. My thing is, do they represent anything close to a majority of people who are attending the event? I’m willing to bet it’s a loud, very minor minority. Which in essence doesn’t count and shouldn’t be given the time of day. So they create a controversy where there practically isn’t one for clicks. I just glanced at the topic of this thread. How in the actual f**k did we end up here? So I was thinking about how the college landscape is changing and how different conferences and whatnot are finding their niches. Got me to thinking about a four team d1 hbcu playoff. If you had four 6 team d-1 conferences with interplay worked out between the schools for out of conference games, you might could make a mint. SWAC: sTu, PV, APB, Grumblin, Southern, JSU Soufeast: Valley, All-corn, Bama State, Bama Amma, Famoo, Bcu Meac: Tenn State, SC Steat, Ayantee, that piss jug up 85, Nawfuck, Hamperton Northern: Howartthou, Morgone, Delaware state, and we gotta find three other ones somewhere or take the Va schools and get VSU to make that move up and put them here and find three for the mid Atlantic to replace the Va schools there. Conference champs play quarterfinals Finals is the Celebration Bowl/ hbcu natty game. Band brawl, fashion show, hook ups, day parties, second homecoming, the whole nine. It’s kinda obvious now we’re fighting an uphill battle with the playoffs and there’s value in supporting our own stuff. I don’t see the Ivy League crying about the playoffs and national championships. At least we have the allure of an hbcu national championship we could play for, along with the resultant hype we’ve already seen firsthand. That being typed, I’m assuming we are financially absolutely locked into the CAA so it remains a passing thought I had during a drive.

I like your effort to figure out a way the HBCUs could structure themselves to play "in the family" and make some money. And other than "tradition", money is what it's all about. I've come to the conclusion that the FCS playoffs are a major boring, and they are financially anemic. And let's face it, even if we got a team that was halfway decent, the only incentive to win in the FCS playoff is pride. And we already have pride. The NCAA has got to figure out a way to make the FCS Playoff more like the Bowl games and less like boring sh*t shows.

Point of clarification: The FCS Playoff Model can/will change once the media rights are sold. The NCAA may break off the FCS Playoffs, as they're planning to do with Women's March Madness, and the new money can allow for more seeds and possibly eradicate the bid system.

I'm more interested in seeing how the CAA commissioner responds to all the noise being generated. He's been completely proactive up to this point. I assume it was for a reason...We have a safety net regardless. Let the chips fall where they may...

I assume it was for a reason...We have a safety net regardless. Let the chips fall where they may... Noise is right…I’ve said for some time that changes in the CAA are far from done. These they gonna add some and lose some…let’s see just how pro active they are, but they were not just adding schools for the heck of it…they saw a storm coming and made sure they secured the building.
