4 things: 1. Unfortunately, I believe they know that Harry & Webster are not very good as post players. I, definitely, see that Harry is not by how he holds the ball and goes for his post shot when he gets one. Webster also hasn't shown much in offensive post play but is pretty good at close to the rim stuff.Β Again, my point is that neither of them has shown enough in PRACTICE to waste much shot clock time and possessions in games. A. From what I've seen and heard (UCF teammates), Collin Smith is a legitimate post player and I expect coach to use him that way. iii. Don't know about Powell posting but hope he can and can be effective. If so, I expect they'll feed him the ball too. Four: What game were y'all watching last night? We were within 4 pts around mid 2nd half. I expect Stanford would have really run us out of the gym if we had tried to run more than 2 bigs at a time. Looked to me like the strategy was to be able to move/switch quickly and drive them to the edges and corners. Also to try to use our speed to get shots.Β The issue I saw was we lost patience after the 2nd half 10 min mark and started trying to go one on one with few results. Roy I have to disagree about Harry and Filmore because for one Harry is a better 3 point shooter then most of our guards , and a much better shooter then the 7' . But yet even when he is on the edge open he doesn't get the ball , but the 7' dose π I don't make excuses for the obvious , and the obvious is Jones has no idea or knowledge as to how too not only coach but effectively use his big men . Jones wants a ready made TV Dinner Big . All you stated above could and should be fixed with proper technique Coaching, but you never see the ball in the paint to the bigs enough unless it's a rebound and put back is the only offensive touches that Harry and Filmore see . The only reason we were in that game was that Stanford shooting percentage is almost just as bad as A&T's . And people continue to wonder why we can't rebound effectively. Come on Roy this waiting until this or that player is on the floor to be our save yours is getting old , at least for me . My personal opinion is that he does not trust Harry or Filmore because they are not consistent in catching the feed cleanly and finishing. He's impatient and if it doesn't work after two or three times he gives up on it the rest of the game. I think he's told the guards not to feed the post and when they penetrate they don't look up for the inside assist at all. Kam doesn't, Beatty doesn't, Duke doesn't, and even Maye doesn't. But Maye turns his penetration into points more consistently. We don't even feed the post in order to move the defense around. We stand around against the zone to make a skip pass, or weave against the man to man, or high pick and pop. That's it.

Iβm impressed that yβall were able to stay up that late. I was dead to the bed before halftime. i officiated a high school game last night, so i got home kinda late and tuned in to the radio broadcast just after the 2nd half started. since the game was pretty close throughout the 2nd half (stanford didn't pull away until the very end), i stayed glued to the radio broadcast...

We just got hot from behind the arc but they were 1 on 1 three pointers not good shots it was only a matter of time before we started missing them

Hell Harry doesn't get the ball when he is on the edge for the 3 or in midrange territory . Even if he doesn't shoot the midrange shot I have seen Harry and Filmore kick the ball out to a open teammate , Γ²nly to see them Jack up a 3 PT Brick with out even giving them time to turn an rotate to the basket incase of a rebound. All of this YMCA 1 on 1 play and dribbling is going to kill us in conference play rotate the D ball and don't rush shots . I could be wrong but I Don't Think So , that this style of play is not going to work in the Big S***it . We will see .
