This game is just like Dracula. It sucks the life out of our football program and everytime you think you've killed, it just keeps coming back.

So even if WSSU is added and they have D-1AA status, it helps strength of schedule. In what world? Strength of schedule is about competing against competitive programs. WSSU hasn't been competitive in years. When was the last time they won the CIAA in football? When was the last time they won a playoff game. Who brings in the most money without a lot of cost to the school?

It helps the s.o.s. because they'll be listed as a d-1aa program, at least provisional. That gives A&T an all 1-aa schedule.

If it came down to who a teams has competed against, WSSU won't help us either.

WSSU would increse our schedule toughness because they would be recognized as at least a provisional 1-aa program. An all1-aa schedule would be perceived as a tougher schedule compared to one with even 1 d-2 team on it. And with 12 game schedules approved by the NCAA, we wouldn't replace nccu with only WSSU, we could schedule a 1-a opponent along with WSSU, which would further increase our s.o.s.

As I recall the game with WSSU was nowhere near a sell-out when it ended. Unlike the game w/ NCCU, YOU GOT PAID EVERY YEAR. Now you want to play WSSU AND GET PAID EVERY OTHER YEAR. Very interesting. It seems to me that if you played either in Aggie stadium and paid them a guarantee ( at least until WSSU JOINED THE CONFERENCE) would be the ideal. You are the top dog, you determine the terms of the contract. As for Elon, I do not understand why you do not want to play a S.C TEAM THAT YOU CAN BEAT. , COST NOTHING TO PLAY AND WHERE YOUR FANS SHOW UP IN GREATER NUMBERS THAN THE HOME TEAM. That will not happen at the other SC schools. Why play APP St ? They do not bring fans to GSO. They stopped playing you as did Liberty and WCU. You really neeed to play a majority conference school. Isn't the game w/ Alcorn for 2008.How much do you want to get to play ECU? Seems that it should be far more than the reported $125,000 you received to play WF.

The last WSSU/A&T was held in Winston and about 20,000 was there.
Playin any white school will boost the s.o.s.

When has strength of schedule really hurt us but '90 and '91? I ask that unanswered question because beating any hbcu like a pwc would will boost our ranking just the same as playing a pwc. If we're beating d-2 teams by 40 and meac teams by 30 it's not a problem. Therefore it's not strength of schedule that's hurting us as much as it's us that's hurting us. Plus, strength of schedule does not help us if we're going 3-8. We're a loooooong way from having any right to complain about strength of schedule keeping us from doing anything.

If NCCU would have moved up first then A&T could have added WSSU as the sole D2 game. Da well!
