We continuously talk about A&T brand in its current status. Im trying something a little different, I'd love to see what everyone feels "our current brand" may be now based off of YouTube video clips. Sure we have GHOE, but what is A&T doing now that's our style and representative of who we are specifically in Geeensboro? Examples below of what im looking for from our beloved University. Examples from other HBCUS: Prairie View: youtu.be/5o4n3aHnHg4Tuskegee (at an away game holding true to their identity) youtu.be/7y8Xubfyrd0WSSU: youtu.be/MF7YONStK7cNCCWho?: youtu.be/RRh4HOq2IjM

I don’t think A&T has one, honestly don’t know if we ever had one.
We seem to have moved away from our past, lost our soul...trades it for what we call progress I guess.

I think the brand for the Machine is that we have the most creativity in our halftime shows. Also we honor and showcase our women better than most other bands.

Are we talking about the BGMM "brand" or the University's brand? If we are talking about the BGMM, I think their "brand" is very strong in the band-world. They are known for being innovators. If you're a high school or college bandhead, you respect and admire the innovative work of the BGMM. Unless you're from the SWAC where your brand is "loud and traditional."
Now if we are talking about the University's brand, I looked up the definition of brand on google. Out of thousands of examples, this is the one I liked..."A brand is not a logo. A brand is not an identity. A brand is not a product. A brand is a person’s gut feeling about a product, service, or organization.” And the "gut feeling" I've had for decades is "Pride." Pride in our University, our students, our history, our athletics and our alumni. And it's not just me... Saturday I marched in the MLK Parade with the Queen City A&T Alumni Chapter. All along the route, fans would yell out..."Aggie Pride." What was funny is a few spectators would yell "Aggie Pride" then quickly explain that they didn't go to A&T but had a son, niece, neighbor or friend that went there. Even non-Aggies knew that "Aggie Pride" was our brand.
Now I know the University spent lots of money and resources on trying to rebrand us with "Aggies Do" but in my gut, "Aggie Pride" is our brand!

I think by "Brand" he doesn't mean a university brand or a BGMM "brand"
i think its more of a "staple" thing we're known for. i guess for us its "Aggie Pride"
but definitely something the band is involved in plays a huge part like you see for Tuskegee (Ball & Parlay), WSSU (Get Up), NCCU (Rift), SCSU (Get up for the bulldogs/Pass The Peas).
I just you could say "corporate thuggin" but it don't slap like the aforementioned hits do.

Aggie Pride is our brand, has been forever. Aggies Do, is more of a motto or a mantra. But if you are talking about staple songs, it used to be "ol Aggie Spirit" now I think it's Gimme Dat or Smash Something.
