North Dakota St is a FCS school paying another FCS school a guarantee greater that the $175K we got from App. St as provisional FBS in 2013. The money matters because it shows how unlevel the playing field is at the top of FCS. So from a symbolic standpoint... this is relevant, IMO. Symbolically perhaps you're right but overall I don't think the financial guarantee is the primary motivation for playing this game. If NDSU wasn't the 8 time fcs national champ I doubt if we would have accepted the $240k. .....hold up here...so you're saying that if we were playing South Dakota State, Eastern Washington, Idaho State or any other school out in the Far West, we wouldn't have accepted the $240K? If that's what you're saying....I STRONGLY DISAGREE. I think you're getting too fixated on what is the primary, secondary, tertiary, or quaternary motivation behind the game......we need to keep it real here....... NO $240K CHECK = NO GAME...no matter where on the totem pole of significance you place the monetary aspects of this game!!

If I remember correctly A&T fans have been asking for this matchup for some time " you have to play and beat the best to be the best" this just shows that with proper scheduling A&T does not have to be in the FCS playoffs to play top tier FCS programs like NDSU or JMU .

"Wooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!"
NDSU, "to BE the man you have to BEAT the man, so come on and walk down that aisle and take a ride on space mountain!"
Yo this Aggie Arrogance is kind of empowering. Lol.
No smack intended.

I watched about half of the game and what I saw was a well disciplined team (that will not beat themselves). If we do Chicken, they do Steak! They don't do anything that we haven't seen on Offense or Defense, but they are very methodical, well conditioned and well coached. If we have any advantage, it would be our speed and receivers. Our running game won't excel if we can't control the line of scrimmage. Haven't said all that, I can't wait for the challenge to see if our Aggies can take it to the next level! One I must admit is the thrust of their I line in rushing mode that seem to convert to Ruby style of play this is the attrition factor that will have an outcome on our running game

I know we do chicken and I know part of that recipe is stopping the run.....but it shole would be nice if we landed one OR two INCREDIBLE defensive tackle recruits or transfers. The interior of our D-line has me worried next year and that position will be critical to competing against a team like NDSU. Or am I overlooking a player that's already on the squad whose ready to step up??

I know they all attend second session but I would also pay for them to attend first session too this year. Or is giving the guys 6 weeks to decompress more important?

Yeah, that is a good question.
Since the 2019 season was extended by almost a month due to the Celebration Bowl, I wonder how much more mental and emotional stress was put on these kids.

While these are young men I do not believe that they are stressed out to a remarkable level. They should go to summer college/school to maintain academics to preclude stress during football season. Additional time should be film studying and conditioning. I still think camp in the mountains would be nice. Just think with me on this concept

But this goes well beyond the quality of football played on the field. At the end of the day, college football is just the strongest marketing tool that we have to promote our university. And we dont get the growth and visibility that this university has enjoyed over the past 5 years if only 5 people show up for our championship game. The celebration bowl is a big reason why we are currently the largest HBCU in the nation. It has been stated by school officials that students are applying to A&T in record numbers, in part, because they see us on national TV, winning HBCU National titles. you're missing my point. my point is why should we care how many folk show up for the fcs national championship game? as if that makes a difference relative to the "quality" of football being played on the football field. "in general", hbcu football draws better than fcs pwc football. the swac always leads the nation in fcs attendance and the same could be said for the siac relative to all d2 conferences. and even the meac is like "top 3" in attendance out of 13 fcs conferences. man, if attendance meant so much, the swac would be kicking our azzes every year. and its not so much the cb "attendance" that generated a&t's growth, instead it was the national "tv exposure" that induced a&t's increase in enrollment applications.

We also don't get a lot of these recent recruits without having played and prevailed in the Celebration Bowl. Recruits like rings and exposure. They don't like playing in front of 5 people in the middle of December in Bum F. Egypt. ndsu and jmu don't seem to have that problem, it appears to me that they have better recruits than we do. give me tre lance over any qb we've had since broadway arrived...

I do not tho k that we need to get excited we just need to be prepared and Execute. We basically need to be of the mind set that we are I deed worthy with an albatross of our historic mandate. Trust me this is akin to February 1,1960 or Texas El Paso V Kentucky.
