.....watching the game on replay. I've never seen so many unforced turnovers in my life. We cannot win in March (MEAC or postseason tournaments) committing this many turnovers. We gotta value the ball when we have it. I'm glad our regular season winning streak continues to grow....but man, these unforced, unnecessary turnovers are frustrating!! I strongly agree, you can't giveaway possessions. Howard should have beat Norfolk today but they lost 83 t0 80. They had 31 to's to Norfolk's 10. That's 20 more possessions for Norfolk despite out rebounding Norfolk 49 to 31. TO's keep you from winning.

I hate to sound arrogant but, this demolition is business as usual. This is just like the football team...stay focused and we don't lose until at least mid to late March. And that means NCAA tournament...and we might sneak some higher seed if they aren't careful.

These unforced Turn Overs will catch up with this team in a close game it has to be clean up quick.

It just comes down to attention to detail.

....but that attention to detail is what separates the great from the good. We committed 23 turnovers vs UMES.... We committed 19 turnovers vs FAMU.... These are teams we're clearly superior than, yet we created this amount of turnovers.
We committed 26 turnovers vs NC State... We committed 21 turnovers vs Georgia... We committed 23 turnovers vs Miami... We committed 23 turnovers vs Akron...
I see a clear pattern here.......we create 20+ turnovers per game. If we keep doing this, we'll be okay vs inferior teams, but when we step up to better competition, 20+ turnovers per came will get you beaten soundly.

What that also substantiates is that most of our turnovers are unforced, because the competition level does not measurably impact how many are created.

And you add 37.5% fg shooting to those 23 turnovers, that stuff will catch up to the team. I think Coach Robinson will see that the team causes just as many turnovers as they commit and accept that 1:1 ratio; but, as "Neighborhoodsuperstar" said, playing to your maximum level separates the good from the great, and the women can be great.
I know the "all wins are good wins" quote is quite popular around here, but that's applicable when you're trying to build a program. Yo, I remember the 1 win season. I think the women are way past those days. "All wins are good wins" should be acceptable only when the opposition is better than you on the night, otherwise that's just accepting mediocrity when the players could be pushed just a little more to cut out bad shooting and high turnovers; mitigate both and this program could be become a nationally recognized organization. As someone said, the only team in the conference that beats the women is the women. I'm really excited about the team and the direction Coach Robinson and staff are taking it, but more can be accomplished, especially the 2020 incoming class. I know I've said way too much, so sorry for the long post.
