How about a parking deck across 29 with a walkway enclosed that leads to BB&T/Aggie Stadium. This is a great idea. I always figured that we were landlocked when it came to additional parking, but maybe we can purchase some of that industrial real estate down Sullivan. The area in question would be the area off 29 in the turning lane to Sullivan St. before bridge is crossed. this is the area where fans park. A deck here would be ideal which would probably mean replacement of that 1950s' bridge and remake of part of 29. In addition across from proposed deck area there is a Church which used to be a motorcycle shop perhaps a hotel? The deck could be financed with city bonds with a sub station for police highway patrol EMT in terms of city of Greensboro. This is just a suggestion of possibilities. Also that deck could be used for student parking as well.

Actually, everything you said is brilliant. We need to make that happen.

Actually if you think about it a hotel makes sense in terms of the continued growth of the the track events held on campus in addition to accommodations for out of town football teams/visitors as well as general hotel accommodations for the public. This could be under the guise of the School of Business for those students like recreation sports management major etc. Not to mention the hassles with GHOE. Here again just some suggestions for the greatness that A&T could become. After all we are long overdo. As a matter of fact I can see no reason for A&T to not be an economic incubator particularly with the farm providing food for the campus as well as the surrounding communities.

I like the parking deck idea more than a new hotel. lol.
We still got a bunch of dorms that need building.

I like the parking deck idea more than a new hotel. lol. We still got a bunch of dorms that need building. I am well aware of the housing crisis. Matter of fact we may need to think in terms of several dorms built hotel style multiple stories per code if any on campus. We could do both parking deck which would be attached to hotel and student dorms on campus. Look at the explosive growth in student housing for UNC-G on Gate City Boulevard, why not similar formula for us? We talk about East Greensboro what does it mean in reality? I think we need to think realistically about the future of Communiversity. While we are lauding the number of engineers that we graduate yearly we need some social engineers in sociology, psychology, to reorder society given the current ongoing demographic shift with the resistance against this reality which is designed to prevent the ultimate paradigm shift which is a continuum anti cultural pluralism which is in fact the Zeitgeist. If I may be so bold as to declare that the Future is now.

If any of you have been to or through Harrisonburg, VA and seen JMU’s campus you know it covers both sides of I-81. As alluded to on prior posts that’s the route we eventually need to take with Aggieland and 29.

More monetarily support to the school and to the AAF.
Administration revamp and upgrade our basketball program to be a real D1 program.
Solve the housing problem on campus.
Again, fix the basketball program to equal or surpass our football program.

Another wish list item: - I would like somebody from Dowdy to actually call me back so we can get the 1891 Club online giving program finally up and running. Me and Dooms have been waiting for that phone call for two years now.
If they have not returned your call it is apparent that they just don't give a *** in this case when your give a ** just don't give a *** you take matters into your own hand and let the chips fall where they may. Just had a conversation with some alumni their point was why is it so difficult to make an online donation to the University. In this day and age mobility is the channel of communication. These tracking devices/cell phones are basically the world at your fingertips. to me this is an insult or another agenda from certain elements within the family. Basically we got to be bold unapologetic in our approach in terms of fund raising. So this may mean organizing a committee of like minded folk to make this happen detached from the university independent. This can happen in the creation of a fund with all of the legal requirements/IRS that is necessary. This may pissed some people off so what. If we are serious we must begin to create real change if we are to be true to ourselves as well as the corporate slogan Aggies Do. Well?

An accurate Fowler, thats all I really need.
A deck the allows you to cross over 29 would also be perfect. That would be the start of expansion across the highway.

An accurate Fowler, thats all I really need. A deck the allows you to cross over 29 would also be perfect. That would be the start of expansion across the highway. Actually you are right on with qb. In terms of expansion this area need some serious reconsideration. For instance there is no medical facilities for the public on this side of the city up 29n. Perhaps 29 itself needs expansion due to the tightness of it which speaks to a major matter which has never been seriously addressed the traffic congestion death valley business 85 north and south bound lanes. As a matter of fact housing in ORD area can be reviewed for dorm space for campus which would be very feasible. Of course we are talking about investments public/private partnerships bonds municipal for this project. It seems as though with business investments partly funded with bonds the same can be applied here. Basically all we are asking is for our fair share which means new political astute servants who are committed rather than self serving individuals. All talk about economic development during silly seasons yet nothing materialize but continued over policing of east Greensboro while campaign promises disappear which contribute to frustration and aggression and other social health issues.

An accurate Fowler, thats all I really need. Fowler has never really had trouble with his accuracy. His issues have been the speed in which he processed information and his ability to go through his progressions. Hopefully, the confidence he built from his performance in the Bethune-Cookman game will translate into being more decisive in the pocket.

I like the parking deck idea more than a new hotel. lol. We still got a bunch of dorms that need building.ur So in terms of expansion and toward downtown for dorm space the News&Record property has appeal for student housing in a real sense. this could be say reverse gentrification. With the current structure could it be enhanced in terms of height for additional space/vertical. I see many possibilities it is a matter of influencing the political process. I was travelling to Rocky Mount during early fall passed through Raleigh.NC State had a major construction project underway. I mean why not us and other similarly situated HCBUs being engaged in similar projects. In our efforts the surrounding communities must be a part of the social equation in terms of the basic infrastructure of a community primarily housing.
