It was me. I deleted the original post because I thought it might delete the whole thread. Began to think it was more trouble than it was worth but since I can't... it's here. What conference and would any other HBCUs leave with us? I can't say which conference. Other HBCUs maybe.

This is suspicious, kinda makes me think about one of those regular attackers that post on meacfans, and also the name Not An Aggie posting here is also suspect. I realize it's suspicious but the information I have is all I can disclose at the moment. I'm not an "attacker" from meacfans or any other board. I'm "Not An Aggie" because I'm not an Aggie. I didn't come here looking for trouble or to rile anybody up. I just caught some news that I thought y'all might be interested in. The only thing I ask is that if we are not in a new conference by the 2020-21 athletic year like you claimed, can you please come back to this forum and apologize for wasting everyone's time. Other than that, please feel free to break all the news you want.

If we do change conferences we need to hire some basketball coaches who are not just satisfied with winning conference games.

If there's a move, I hope that's not it lol Aggies will support regardless of who we play...our attendance shows that. It’s not like MEAC schools are as attractive...nothing is attractive about Del state, Morgan or Savannah state. Even for the casual fan they don’t care about BCU either. In basketball UMES nor Coppin move the needle.

Nah don’t. These dudes can’t hold water. As soon as you tell them, they are gonna type it on their phones. I remember Aggie77 was the one who spilled the beans about the Celebration Bowl.

I know Aggies will support, but if you’re going to go from one conference with teams that don’t move the needle to another, might as well make it the SoCon or Colonial. I’m not well informed on the budgets of those schools, so i understand that may be a reason for not making that jump.

Before we continue we need to be realistic. We need to upgrade our conference as a whole which could happen if the conference members schools' administrations make the commitments. I am still of the opinion that we need to handle our business by improving our social infrastructure. Again we need to abandon this east Greensboro concept and be attentive to all of the changes around us from a communiversity idea. Why cannot a new school of nursing be built on campus as well as a new school of music. It is our music which has impacted society and the world yet we cannot have a music building built? But I remember when the school of Veterinary science was being proposed and some consultant stated that you do not build a school in the wilderness in reference to our campus yet out of that wilderness have come greatness which continues today. Yet I wonder whether some of us have become drunk from the wine of the world that we have become impotent mentally emasculated. Now what i would suggest is that we begin a new thrust for excellence to enhance the student body participation in all areas relevant for their growth and development with our eyes continually on the prize in order for them to be rather than to seem.

By the way I would recommend the book Black Without Malice by Dr. William Bell as it relates to Aggie football. Actually there is a lot that i can say but i will pause for the moment. We do not need to be fainthearted despite all of the arrows coming our way in fact turn around and snatch some of those arrows out of their flight towards us and keep on keeping on because we are champions we are Ayantee.

Lobengula, This issue is bigger than our conference administrators and member schools...we need to cut travel costs significantly. NC A&T spent ~$2M on travel, can you imagine how much FAMU, BCU and Del State spend? We need to reduce our conf foot print to save each member institution money. If not we need to find a way to increase conf revenue and subsidize travel expenses...you and i both dont see this happening in the foreseeable future. WSSU and Sav State were potential solutions to our travel woes but they returned to div 2. We need schools south of NC to help reduce costs. On a different note, if the state of NC returns to treating scholarship athletes as in-state students it will greatly reduce our costs. Those reduced costs only benefit NC schools and not the MEAC as a whole. A&T alum have an emotional connection to the MEAC however it isnt being turned into profit or funds for our athletic programs.
