My only question is why the funny color jerseys for homecoming? Those were "throw backs" from the 1920s and 1930s. Ugly, ugly, ugly. If the players voted on those uniforms, they need to be drawn and quartered, I refuse to believe their eye for fashion is that BAD. If they have a need to wear gray (I guess that was gray), why not consult with SCSU on where they got their new uniforms. At least they have style and the color is not a muddy looking gray.

Our first quarters always frighten me. Except for the Norfolk game, our defense gets off to a slow start. Yesterday we let Howard look like world beaters in the first quarter. Their QB was hitting open receivers and running for first downs. But after a few minutes it's like our defense woke up and said, enough of this crap!
Midway through second quarter game went from "will we win" to "what tailgate party should we visit."
By the way, only two "lack of discipline" incidents yesterday and the coaches quickly cleaned them up.

Yep i was in the athletic foundation tent and did not see it when McNeil got a unsportsmanlike penalty. I am told that Washington pointed him to locker room and he took off his pads and came back out in street close.
That’s great as that is immediate discipline and the rest of the team got the message this could be me

I noticed that McNeil never saw the field again, but didn't realize he was in street clothes. Good!! And even better was that his replacement got two interceptions. No one is bigger than the team.

Howard ran a pure RPO with Williams for the first time this season and it took us by surprise in the first quarter. They went with the same style of offense they used to do with Newton and we didn't expect them to do that because Williams is a pocket passer. Our defensive coaches quickly made the necessary adjustments after their one scoring drive and from that point on it was lights out.

Here is the issue I saw while on the sideline. Our Cbs, like to cover but they don't/didn't offer much support in the run. I believe Howard knew that as well. Number 81 was extremely aggressive on run blocks almost as if he was trying to pancake our CBs. Not sure what Howard saw on film but it was something. I think Mcneil Just got sick of being bullied and the one time he actually one he taunted the WR. His emotions got the best of him after getting beat up half the game. Hopefully, no one else uses this before we get it corrected.

You think he got bullied against HU wait until South Carolina state they all most always pull there lineman on drop traps and jet sweep's . All good CB's know to attack the lineman before the big lineman get rolling . McNeil waited to get hit which is a no no . His replacement played much better and showed more aggressiveness in his support on running plays . I don't know who the young man is but he should get more field time against SCSU in my opinion .

First play from scrimmage: tackler for Howard pulls martin’ Hair blatantly during the tackle. I’m sure that happens a lot though.
What about Petey Bush running down that blocked kick return? That was the play of the game.

Chris Moseley is a senior transfer from D-II Mars Hill who sat out last year and who played his HS ball at Greensboro Page. He started against us two years ago when we mauled Mars Hill during the undefeated season.

Had I been, I would have come out throwing it at whoever suggested making that change. That gray is not an accent color. In this case it is used as a dominant or "prominent color" for that uniform. You like the color, and that's fine, but that does not mean that everyone has to accept the dullness of it. It is just a matter of different opinions.

I've watched Howard play 3 and a half times counting GHOE. #81 is always extremely aggressive.
