It was just a matter time before the unsportsmanlike penalties were going to cost the AGGIES a game. We all saw it coming

All I can do is SMH on this mess. This is not AGGIE Football. It’s not how we get down. We don’t beat ourselves.
The one that hurt me the most yesterday was after the fumble that had the potential to be a game changer...then a taunting call.
Dude ran clear to the FAMU side line to talk chit !
Why !!!

Yep. After halftime, I didn't care if we won or lost with the way we acted.

I agree, that made absolutely no sense. It bordered on stupidity. We can do better than this, we are institution of higher learning and deserve much better than that...

"Insanely mentally weak team"? How many times have we come from behind to win, and we almost did it again in an extremely hostile environment. Some of the BEST teams in school history wouldn't have been within four tds of Jacksonville State or ECU last year, much less come back to win. Let them be down by 14 to any PWC whether or not they were good and most any team in school history would've folded. Or have a game against a ranked PWC come down to a 52 yard field goal and win it. This year we won in those situations. Sometimes folk be talking crazy just cause they favorite team lost by a few in overtime. The above is a prime example. Now on the other hand, the lack of discipline continues to be an issue. Honestly there's only so much you can do once your players know who you are. Coach would come off as disingenuous if he started kicking rass and taking names out of nowhere over penalties. If I'm him I'd leave it in the players' hands to self-police themselves and just remind them what it can cost the team. If it's me I show them that pretty picture they took at the Norfolk game then show them a few clips from the FAMU game and remind them it's important not to get to high or too low. We can't let this loss snowball anymore than we can go around acting arrogant because we made a play. Stay even keel and focused and things will be fine.

We definitely could have handled a few situations yesterday differently but, what I don't like is the sky is falling analysis that come after a loss. Had we done all these things and we got beat 58-19 then, yeah we definitely got a problem and I could understand the criticism. But, we were right there to take the win, it just didn't happen for us. We can always sit on these high soapboxes of ours and be judges but, when you are in the heat of battle and emotions run high, sometimes things happen. But again I don't think anything was done that loss the game for us. We didn't pull it out like we could have but, that's sports. I thought some of us here played sports, where's the empathy. NOT sympathy, Empathy...they differ.
I got a former football player talking about not attending the CB because we loss to FAMU...stating we would only be paper champions. That's the spoiled behavior we have as fans. We are 12 years removed from the longest losing streak in A&T history but, it's so easy for us to forget. I asked him, "Who do you think we are?" We aren't Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma or LSU...I know we like to think we are in the same conversation but, we aren't. We should support when we can, while we can and stop this non-sense about paper champions.

That "insanely mentally weak team" bull$h*t is kinda pissing me off. Look at how far down we were to fam yesterday. We lost arguably our best offensive and defensive player and were down by two scores. Our best offensive weapon was getting stitched up in the locker room for most of the third quarter and we were down by two scores. Yet we came back and still took it to OT. Methinks if the person making the comment failed to note any of that, he/she is insanely mentally weak, as in lacks basic intelligence. ohsix, if a former player is talking about paper champions and not attending the CB, let him. He's the equivalent of Petey from Remember The Titans. Let his rass storm off the field like a lil ol beeeyaatch.

I hope y'all realize there will be suspensions from Sunday's Game that go beyond Bell and Mac sitting out a half next week.

I respectfully disagree. I may have only played high school football but I do know that a coach can change any player's behavior...anytime. In my day, if we did bonehead stuff the coach made us run "the hill!" After a while, you would do anything to avoid running that hill again. Not only that, you would kick a teammates butt if he continued to do bonehead stuff that caused you to have to run "the hill" again.
As I stated in another post, this is just Coach Washington's second year as a head coach and he's still learning that he needs to do more than just coach the game plan. I think the other coaches in the MEAC now realize that we have a disciple problem and gameplan to get us upset. Mack at NCCU was a master at that. If Coach Washington doesn't fix this soon, we can expect many more of these types of discipline issues.

Somebody better tell Coach Washington that, because he said in his press conference that everyone was playing. The word should be coming down from the Front Office by EOD Tuesday. I don't know what's up but the Coach that was confronting FAMU's WR Coach during halftime could be also under fire as well, in addition to the A&T player caught flipping the Bird to FAMUans on camera.

That mentally weak team mantra is nonsense! A team down 10 on the road with their two best players and their starting QB going down would have quit if they were mentally weak. Coach Washington is a damn good coach who these kids play hard for and sometimes are undisciplined! No doubt we need to clean this up but this loss should make us a better football team and program. Weaknesses on our part were exploited like our secondary and lack of pass rush that allowed a damn good quarterback to pick us apart.. Offensively, our scheme still does not exploit the middle of the field (every goal line situation can't be a fade or jump ball route). Big picture the way we played and the motivation from this loss gives me confidence we will win out! What we are playing for now is growing our brand and positioning our program for the future. BS like yesterday has to be cleaned up but it could turn out to be a good thing if we take this painful lesson in stride. We'll deal with FAMU next year in Greensboro after they watch us n December 21 hoist another championship!

Y’all are right. They are costly, But this breed of Dawgs are just different. His team is his team. I remember a player got tossed vs ECU, but the Dawgs kept playing. The Champs are that for a reason! Idk what happened, but what if you saw one of your brothers get dogged out. You get him back.
Maybe it’s time to say ‘don’t F” with A&T’!
