My official AggieRattler Statistical Poll has us ranked #1, NDSU ranked #2, Alabama ranked #3 and FAMU ranked #4.
We all have polls. Not putting too much credence into this one, at first glance.

Wow, they leap frogged us from #16 to #9 because we had a bye weeK? What kind of crazy poll is this? idaho state jumped from #33 to #11. Got to be the biggest jump in the history of poll jumping from outside the top 25 to into it.

With that being said. i aint mad at it. FAMU deserves the respect if the only L they take is us for the rest of the season. To bad they are ineligible.

for crying out loud, let's take a closer look at how this poll is derived. its all "computerized" on mathematics, no human input... www.compughterratings.com/aboutSteve Pugh is the designer, creator, and publisher of “Compughter Ratings”, an advanced mathematical model used to rate sports teams in various competitive sports. The model uses a "least squares" method to generate initial ratings estimates and then employs a "maximum likelihood" technique to produce the final ratings.... Pugh's interest in computer-generated sports ratings began in 2005 as a culmination of hobbies: sports, mathematical modeling, and computer programming. The initial objective was simply to gain insight into the mathematical techniques utilized to rate the past performance of college football teams. In early 2006, Pugh began leveraging the generous expertise of Kenneth Massey (www.masseyratings.com) to help shape his ideas and sharpen his techniques. Mr. Massey is also a graduate of the Mathematics Department at Virginia Tech and his computer ratings model was used in the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) during its entirety.

When they start awarding "wins" and "losses" based on polls, in the day I will care about them. Polls are like assholes, everybody has one and they all put out crap.
