cam loses his effectiveness when he no longer has the ability to "run" as he did in his younger days. he's never been a "pure" passer, but his threat to run the ball made his passing easier. panthers are my #2 team and all i care about is "winning". the team seems to be playing better without cam, it speaks for itself.
the front office should find out what they can get for cam in a trade and act accordingly...

Bingo ,I mentioned this earlier in my post ,it's undeniable ,all I care about is winning also .I don't care if Daffy Duck or Winnie the Pooh is the QB .

I live in the Charlotte market, have owned season ticket for 25 years and follow the Panthers on local radio and social media and I'm amazed by the silence about Cam Newton. Nobody is even mentioning his name. And even if the Panthers stumble and lose some games, it appears the local fans have moved on. Honestly, Cam's "antics " on and off the field has turned the "average" Panthers fan off. Charlotte is a tightazz conservative market and they don't embrace "different." Here's an interesting fact...Cam has no commercial endorsements. No business local or national wants him to pitch their products. That tells you how isolated he has become. Now he doesn't need endorsements money to survive but it shows how little marketing value he now has in this market. Those conservative fans had no problem embracing Steve Smith, and he was getting in real fist fights with his own teammates, one even led to medical attention being needed and the player being carted off. I have my criticisms of Cam, but lets be real about it, there's a "portion" of the fanbase who doesn't like him/wanted him gone from day one because hes a black QB. Even during the super bowl year, there were fans who wanted Derek Anderson in there. No team had won the nfc south in back to back years, he lead teams that won it three times in a row and they still didn't embraced him. They even went as far as writing a letter to the editor in Charlotte because he had kids out of wedlock. No doubt Steve Smith was an A hole when he first came ,but he was forced by the team to take anger management classes and pay for it out of his pocket .After that he wasn't a problem . And Steve also got in Cam's azz about sitting on the bench pouting with the towel wrapped around his head ,and running off the field without shaking the opposing teams hands whenever they lost .Not the mark of a true leader, I'll take Steve Smith over Cam's pouting and "look at me" attitude any day . Lastly Cam is not the first black QB for the panthers ,remember Joe Webb ,and I've been black for 63 yrs so my dislike for "big baby Cam " has nothing to do with race .

The last incident happened in 2008, he was drafted in 01. And the same way you said Steve Smith changed, Cam did as well. And steve Smith didn’t have a look at me attitude? After every catch he made sure you knew he had just caught it. He wanted the attention just as much as Cam ever has. Im well aware of Joe Webb, Rodney Peete as well, neither were marketed and made the face of the franchise the way Cam as a #1 pick has been. I never said you or all of the fanbase doesn’t like him because he’s black, but to deny that a certain portion of the fanbase simply doesn’t like him because he’s black is being in denial in my opinion. Like I’ve said, I have my criticisms of him, but some of the things people complain about with him is ridiculous to me.
