How is the team traveling to the game? My home boy from TX said that the game was cancelled . POSTPONED...not cancelled Cancelled was the wrong choice of word from a local reporter on twitter. The game is postponed and an announcement on a reschedule will be made tomorrow. This could be similar to the A&T/ECU reschedule. Sit tight ladies & gentlemen

How is the team traveling to the game? My home boy from TX said that the game was cancelled . That's what you do when you're broke. The current weather forecast does not support cancelling the game. It's supposed to rain all day and stop by evening according to accuweather. But if you're broke you can't take that chance. to make the call this early is an economic decision not a safety decision.

Sit tight ladies & gentlemen The ECU situation happened cause the team was already in Greenville. The team hasn’t even flown out to florida yet. I doubt they’d reschedule for Sunday and if they were i doubt they’d wait to announce it tomorrow morning considering that’s when the flight was. It’s poor planning on their part if they do.

I think they are thinking about safety too. Boy I bet the school wish they were closer in distance to help reschedule the game but I got a feeling it going to be cancelled

Safety has to figure into the decision. The magnitude and direction of the storm is just to unpredictable. So much of the damage is done due spawning of tornadoes. Better safe than sorry!

I don’t understand the thinking that FAMU isn’t involved in the run for the Celebration Bowl. All FAMU games count in the conference standings. A lost to FAMU is the same as a lost to any other team in the conference. FAMU greatly impacts the conference race. We need to beat them and have them beat everybody else, while not losing a game. That’s our perfect scenario. If we don’t play this game we are automatically a half game back, it becomes more important that FAMU beats everybody else.

SAFETY FIRST...simple as that.
My understanding is that a final decision has NOT been made.
Earl wants to play the game, but not on Sunday. FAMU wants to play the game, too, but as long as conditions (flying/travel, field and structural) are safe. Remember, we have to fly IN and OUT of the region.
I’m hearing that a final decision will be made tomorrow morning in (another) conference call between the two schools.
One alternative being thrown out there is moving the kickoff back to 7pm or 8pm when its pretty certain that the storm should have completely moved through.

FAMU-N.C. A&T kickoff remains intact as Tropical Storm Nestor approachesRory Sharrock, Tallahassee Democrat Published 5:09 p.m. ET Oct. 17, 2019 | Updated 5:23 p.m. ET Oct. 17, 2019
Wet and windy weather expects to be the backdrop to Saturday’s highly-anticipated MEAC showdown between Florida A&M and No. 14 North Carolina A&T.
School officials are keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Nestor to see if it impacts the 6 p.m kickoff. A meeting to discuss potential contingency plans was held Thursday evening.
Robinson was unavailable to be reached for comment before the meeting.
Head coach Willie Simmons is keeping his attention on football-related matters and game-planning for the Aggies.
"I'm focused on the game. Whatever happens, happens," Simmons said. Those decisions are for the administration and the MEAC office. If they decide to do something, they'll notify me. Until then, I'm prepared to play the game at 6 p.m."
MEAC officials in Norfolk, Virginia have confirmed no updates regarding a time change or a postponement.
This is the second year in a row weather news surrounds a FAMU-N.C. A&T game.
In 2018, the teams met in Greensboro, North Carolina just days after Hurricane Michael ripped through the Big Bend.
N.C. A&T's bus is scheduled to arrive at its team hotel on Friday.
FAMU Athletics is expecting a packed crowd like the outing versus Southern.
The ticket office announced a revised pricing structure leading up to this highly-anticipated game.
Advanced reserved tickets cost $25 while general admission is set at $15.
Purchases made on Saturday are $30 for reserved seating and $20 for general admission.
The Rattlers and Aggies have top-tier rankings in multiple MEAC categories.
Last fall, FAMU won 22-21 last fall at BB&T Stadium on a last-second field goal by Yahia Aly.
Due to a self-imposed postseason ban implemented this spring, FAMU is ineligible to play in the Celebration Bowl.
However, it can still finish the year in first place in the conference. A win against the two-time defending league champion Aggies will go a long way toward achieving this goal.

Sunday at 2. My least favorite option. Gives the team only 5 days to recover before GHOE.
