Simpson earns keep with North Carolina A&T State Aggies By Malcolm Shields Sports Editor Wednesday, October 9, 2019North Carolina A&T State's William Simpson (46) blocks Norfolk State's Nigel Chavis (9) during the college football game, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at William Price Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia. Simpson played his high school football at Northeastern. NORFOLK, Va. — During the past few years, William Simpson has had to work to earn what he has achieved as a member of the North Carolina A&T State University football team. Simpson, a former football player at Northeastern High School, has worked his way up the N.C. A&T State depth chart and is a key contributor for the Aggies this season. Simpson was able to play in front of family and friends Saturday as the Aggies faced Norfolk State at William Price Stadium. The contest was a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matchup. North Carolina A&T State, considered one of the top teams in the NCAA’s Football Championship Subdivision or the old Division I-AA, is ranked No. 14 in the country in the FCS coaches poll and No. 13 in the STATS poll after defeating Norfolk State 58-19 Saturday to improve to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in the MEAC. NORFOLK, Va. — During the past few years, William Simpson has had to work to earn what he has achieved as a member of the North Carolina A&T State University football team. It would be nice to see A&T incorporate a jumbo package on short yardage situations . I like to see Big Backs run because a lot of times giving the ball to the lead back will catch a team off guard because they will be looking for Martin . Also the big backs can we're down the defense for Martin and Baker . Simpson, a former football player at Northeastern High School, has worked his way up the N.C. If you want to know his value go back and look at the NSU game. He was straight up bulldozing dudes.

If you want to know his value go back and look at the NSU game. He was straight up bulldozing dudes. I saw his blocking especially his blocking in the passing game . He straight-up stop dead that defensive end in his tracks. I just wanted to see the big boy carry the ball in a short-yardage situation or to just beat up on the defense . Dude has to be a round 270 no less than 260 . I will love to see him and that other big back get a few Touches . For some reason I think he can be and effective Runner if given the opportunity .

Simpson is listed at 289 lbs on the roster. He was straight crushing dudes on NSUs defense! I talked to his uncle after the game and he said that the weight listed on the roster is legit!
