Norfolk State overwhelmed at home by No. 16 North Carolina A&T

Calling them drives is inadequate. North Carolina A&T just scored and scored ... and scored again. Immediately.
Four Aggies scoring “drives” lasted just one play and a fifth was two plays as No. 16 A&T (4-1, 2-0 MEAC) walloped Norfolk State 58-19 on Saturday at Dick Price Stadium.
“They were much better than we were today,” NSU coach Latrell Scott said. “Ultimately, it’s the head coach’s job to make sure the team’s prepared to play and we weren’t prepared to play.”
Turnovers by Norfolk State (1-5, 0-2) after an A&T possession proved a volatile mixture.
Spartans quarterback Juwan Carter threw his first interception 94 seconds into the game when an Aggies defensive back jumped a deep route as the NSU receiver failed to look back.
A&T scored two plays later ― both runs by Jah-Maine Martin ― as Martin kickstarted a pulverizing performance in which he was 13 yards short of 200 on the ground by halftime. He finished with 199.
“I was expecting to be able to tackle Jah-Maine Martin at least once and we didn’t get that done,” Scott said.

Harvard - 62 Howard - 17
In Historic First Meeting, Football Tramples Howard, 62-17
By Cade Palmer, Crimson Staff Writer
CAMBRIDGE, MASS. — In the historic Harvard Stadium, the Crimson and Howard met for the first time in either program’s history. The Bison had never played an Ivy League team, and Harvard had never squared off against a historically black college or university (HBCU) team. From the opening whistle, the landmark contest was all Harvard, as the team trampled its opponent, 62-17.
“For me it meant a lot more family coming to the game,” said sophomore defensive lineman Truman Jones. “They were really excited to see me playing an HBCU, they didn't really recognize what kind of football Harvard played and so I think playing an HBCU was a good showcase of that. If I wasn't here I probably would be at an HBCU.”
For the Crimson (2-1, 1-0 Ivy), the defensive unit and the running back squad shined brighter than they have all season. In the first 30 minutes of play, the Crimson logged three blocked punts. This tied the FCS season record for any team prior to the contest — held by Arkansas Pine Bluff — and was one short of the FCS record for a game at four.
