There will be some Aggies quite surprised at how our team performs this year. I can't wait for Elon. Bring on those Fighting Christians!

If you all think that BC-U is not as much of a MEAC contender as FAMU....wow.
Let me say this. The Wildcats had the most 1st team MEAC selections than any other school. They have defeated FAMU eight years in a row. They have one of the best kickers in the country. And their QB, when healthy, can beat you with his legs or his arm. Thankfully, we have them at home this year but it is right before the Central game. Yikes...

In fact, our back to back games with Elon and Duke should prepare us mightly for BCU and NCCU back to back to end the season. Overall, the top of the MEAC is as strong as its been in years.

So, am I the only one that is concerned about our 2019 team reading all of these preseason accolades and their mindset going into the Elon game? They must know that these projections don't win ball games. or, am I tripping?

Not concerned. The two loses last season paid dividends then and now. Coach has reference them in multiple interviews this year. The majority of players experienced the consequences of getting "too big". Some expressed the lesson learned during post CB activities. Each year has it challenge(s), I doubt arrogance will be it this year.

Coach Washington said in his interview with Box-to-Row that reason we lost two games last year was because we were “smelling ourselves”. He said he will not let that happen again.

FCS 2019: Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preview By CRAIG HALEY STATS FCS Senior Editor
(STATS) - With three new head coaches in the MEAC this season after there was a first-year trio last year, there's a relatively new feeling across the conference. Whether it extends to the title race, where North Carolina A&T has become the dominating power, is uncertain. The Aggies were installed as a heavy preseason favorite despite losing more starters than any other team. It's those changes, though, that excite the rest of the conference because Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M and offense-stacked Howard feel they can reel in the conference leader this season. Following is a predicted order of finish and a team-by-team breakdown of the 2019 MEAC race:
1. North Carolina A&T 2. Florida A&M 3. Bethune-Cookman 4. Howard 5. South Carolina State 6. North Carolina Central 7. Norfolk State 8. Morgan State 9. Delaware StateFor the rest of the story:www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i=20190820104908412021504
