So I don't know if you guys noticed but Stephen was used as a Stand up 3/4 rush end on a couple of plays in the first half and did quite well to be honest. He applied pressure on one play and then actually made the play on another (run play) that I noticed. I understand he is a rover but to get him on the field more just for this year id suggest we use him as our 4th defensive end. Hopefully we use this bye week to get him more acquainted with the position. We could sure use the depth there, He is on the field, we could probably drop him back into coverage a couple of plays and everybody is happy. next year once wilder has graduated we can talk about moving him back to Rover

Great observation.
He also made a number of tackles of special teams. This guy is a player.

Unless things get better Davis may end up as a back up RB to give Martin a break . If it was up to me (which it is not ) I would expand the roles of the two FB/Big Backs and also start using the TE more in short yardage situations and to work the middle of the field on drag routes like most teams do . Teams in the MEAC already know that A&T's use of the TE is never mind at best . So it's about time we started using him .

The defensive line was the 3 DE's (93, 50 & 41) with Davis (48) standing up at DE at least one time!

Davis had a strip forced fumble on special teams against Del State. The Hornets recovered it but that could have easily been a turnover.
This guy is consistently finding ways to make an impact, even in limited minutes.

The starting front seven is balling right now. Not much you can justify as far as lineup changes at this point.
Davis just needs to continue to be on standby and keep finding ways to get on the stat sheet.
Roberts is another guy who would probably start on 90 percent of the teams in FCS football.
