Honestly I wish he had came to the board anonymously as a regular fan and debated with yall clowns, with only a few people actually knowing who his was. That would have been hilarious reading yall unknowingly debate with Raynard about the proper way to read a defense. Or even better, read Oleschool debate with Raynard about Raynard. That would have been classic.

It’s sad because y’all are sitting up here debating on switching our starting QB for whatever dumb rass reasons y’all got. Most of Y’all niggas ain’t even played a down of Collegiate football but y’all got the most to say. I ain’t hiding behind no weak rass username like y’all tough guys are doing. This is Lamar Raynard . The best mf quarterback to come thru A&T. Y’all so damn ungrateful is ridiculous. Ain’t sheeeet wrong with Kylil or Barnette. This is Kylil first year starting and Barnette first year with a new starting QB In 4 years. Y’all don’t know how to give sheeeet time. We 2-1 and y’all up here talking about switching the QB. But y’all the same ones that wanted to bench me after them four games but was begging to take a picture with me after the celebration bowl. Mf Im 35-2 and y’all wanted to bench me. I had the best winning percentage as a Meac QB in Meac history jack. That’s why I’ll never respect y’all dumb rass so called fans. Years ago y’all mfs would have been on y’all knees to get 1 f**k**g win and in the last 4 years we were 41-7 and y’all still ain’t grateful. Y’all niggas think y’all know football and y’all don’t . Y’all got the most sheeeet to say behind a f**k**g screen. All of those that’s in the hall of fame please @ me so we can talk. The rest of y’all suckas don’t say sheeeet to me. Good hearing from someone who played the game and played it well. I know it maybe be hard just keep in mind to be respectful. OldschoolAggie and I go at it with you and carter all the time but not once do we go at each other with personnel attacks. Any way I want you to be involve and even correct me when I am wrong about certain facts. >>This is Kylil first year starting and Barnette first year with a new starting QB" I never really thought about that dynamic. I will keep that in mind next time.

I'll say this...this was Raynard's first post but, I'm sure this isn't the first time he's ever visited this site. I definitely understand his passion for his former teammates. He's one year removed from being on the team and he sees this site and views it as we have nothing better to do but, criticize when criticism isn't necessary. How many folk criticized Broadway after the Charlotte game...? I'm not gonna mentioned what was said when we lost to Central 3 straight seasons. But, when he announced his retirement, those same critics were terrified of what it could've meant. So, I get it, Raynard's frustration is justified. We all want A&T to win in the worst way but, we have to pull back and not let that passion become detrimental to our teams.

We go on this board in support of and because we love our school. Some of us have never played but most of us have watched a helluva lot of football over a 20, 30, 40 or even 50 year period. This board generates interest and fans have opinions which may be valid or simply a subjective observation. Raynard has an opinion but based upon his criteria, one could suggest that since he did not play at a major college level or in the pros his opinion has less validity. I've never met the young man but have read his posts on Twitter and he seems to be a fine young fellow. The key point is not about football but that we ought to pull his coattail and suggest that he present himself in a positive light and not put a funky post on the internet that will follow him forever.
Raynard was a helluva quarterback and I thought had the physical tools to play at the next level. Problem is and this is just my opinion, he did not put up gaudy enough numbers to attract the attention a small school quarterback needs. As good as he was, I don't know that he is the GOAT at A&T. I may be biased and missed a lot of years of A&T football over the past 40 years but Elsworth Turner was the best QB I ever watched live at A&T. I still remember our Dwayne Board, Ragsdale, Feaster, Lonnie Harris and Elsworth squad beating Harry Carson, Nate Rivers and SC State back in 1975. They only played 10 games back then in less than pristine conditions, so it's hard comparing players of different eras.

I still remember our Dwayne Board, Ragsdale, Feaster, Lonnie Harris and Elsworth squad beating Harry Carson, Nate Rivers and SC State back in 1975... i saw that game in person as a "snootty nosed" aggie freshman! i always considered that "upset" as the win that literally "rocked" greensboro! i remember how "raucous" the a&t home crowd was after that win that day. it was the "loudest" i'd ever heard a memorial stadium crowd before, seemed like all of greensboro heard the aggie fanbase that day. and as i recall, we "paid dearly" for that upset. if my memory serves me correctly, i don't think we came within 30 points of beating scsu in football for the next 10 years or so after we upset them that year. i mean, that upset and the way we celebrated that day really upset the bulldawgs big time and they took it out on us every year after that...

I think these next 10 days are going to be significant for Barnette's career, moving forward. He has enough time to polish up his playbook, work on Carter's mechanics and get the overall passing game back on track. If we struggle offensively against Del State next Thursday night, all bets are off. Thriller what about the receivers I have seen more dropped balls in the first 3 games then all of the first half of last season . What gives ?

Looks like concentration issues, as much as I can tell.
A couple of those balls hit Bell squarely in the hands. I think that last drop in the end zone against Charleston was a case of him not getting his head turned around fast enough, but it should have been a TD.
Some of the sideline passes were slightly off-target, but those slants were perfectly thrown balls by the QB.

But there was quite a few crickets in the room when Raynard made his entrance and introduction....lol.
