- Early in the 4th Qtr it seemed like our Defense was gasped. I don't know if it was key substitutions or something the coaches said, but the Dee caught fire to end the game.
- Obviously, it was a point of emphasis for our players to keep their emotions in check. Last year was very frustrating to get a big stop for it to be nullified for taunting. Good job by our coaching staff!
- As some have said, a lot of our penalties against Elon were on special teams. I'm sure our coaching staff will get that corrected quickly.
- Still scratching my head on why they substituted Carter. At first I thought they were managing his minutes due to his injury recovery.
- Ruiz's kick would have been good from 60..... What a redemption!

Coach Washington's confidence in his players bleeds over to their play. It's very telling, as it was in the post-game interview with Ruiz. He matter of factly said he knew he could make all the kicks and just needed to figure out what was going on. Broadway would've most likely played for OT.
Every once in a blue moon the confidence isn't rewarded like when he had the confidence in them fools to quit getting personal fouls last year, but in the end it worked out.
Lut Williams interviewed Coach coming out after halftime and remarked that we'd held Elon under 10 yards rushing in the first half. Coach said "Well, that's what it should be." and laughed for like one second, then looked mad as hell and headed for the sideline. He is not playing about stopping the run at all.
The game was a prime example of doing chicken. We didn't turn over the ball, we had a huge lead in time of possession, we stopped the run, we ran the ball effectively enough (poor Maine though, they bottled him up a lot).
I'm interested to see if we can play Duke well.

A few thoughts. * Elon brought a few fans yesterday * I know that I dropped the ball on the idea about all weather TV's, but we sure could have used some yesterday, with the long concession lines. * The concession was out of hand. We need more windows open. Tusehey will lose money imo, if this keeps up. One could miss half of the Qtr waiting in line. * Our return game is on the cusp of breaking it open again. We have to clean up those penalties. * Bell is the Truth! * RB Graves showed some nice things. * The replay system "is what it is". Some camera angles are just not available.

I said the same thing to the chancellor’s wife about having TVs near the concession lines.

The concession situation is pitiful. I refuse to support bad service! I bet there's a dozen Black owned food trucks that would love an opportunity to serve our fans.

I really like the idea augmenting the concessions with food trucks inside the stadium. It would ease the wait times, provide some variety, add capacity, and be an additional revenue stream. It would have to be done carefully, but it could really enhance the atmosphere and strengthen the bonds with the community. It would also be another economic engine for a few of those local vendors that do Homecoming every year. It's worth giving serious thought to. If we select vendors the have unique and delicious food choices, it could become a staple of the game day atmosphere at A&T.

Actually the entrance into the stadium( practice field side)only had two lines open/scanning people. It was a bottleneck. I remember at least four being open in the past.
On a better note, is it me or did it seem like the bend in the horse-shoe (the student area) was packed! I know that the sun is no joke-(facing it.)

He was interviewed after the game and seemed fine. If Carter's not turning the laces out that's probably not something Ruiz is going to share during interview time. If we don't see Carter holding next time we'll know what happened. I agree, not one of the coaches in the stands was close enough (that is on the field) to see the ball or how Carter handled the snap. However, we do know that Bush received the snap, and place the ball well enough for an excellent kick. I also agree that Luiz isn't the type to point a finger. Whatever went wrong, will be kept in house.
