Ummmm I'm sorry but that can't be good news for Elon. This kid is on load management and he's the starter. They do not have any quality backups? We should definitely put pressure on him early and make him uncomfortable as possible.

Scrimmaging and not being touched is one thing, real in game situations is another. We'll see how his mind is when the bullets are live.

Last year our guy had kidney stones. His mind was French toast when the bullets were live and we still won. I ain't takin' nothing for granted with Elon.

Nobody is taking Elon for granted. I have seen what they can do when they are healthy and 100%. And no disrespect to SC State or whichever opponent you are referring to last year, but we were far greater than most of the conference last year. That argument doesn't hold weight.
But I have faith in our team, to play fast and make life in the pocket difficult for a kid just getting his wheels back after being 10+ months away from the field. I'm saying that because I would have caution if it were the other way around and Carter was not back mentally and physically against a FORMIDABLE opponent.

lol, somebody please go and get monster in here! me and coach washington are on the same page when it comes to playing the "backup" qb. he said exactly what i said in so many words, that the backup qb is one snap away from being the starter and that he needs some game experience. i see it the same way.
even if kylil doesn't get injured, we still need to prepare our backup to be a starter next season and the best way to do that is to ensure that the backup gets playing time "this season" and i'd see to that he gets it in every game if the game circumstances will allow it.
i still like ifedi as my #2 even though fowler probably knows the offense better than him. but i believe that ifedi has a better "upside" than fowler. i think fowler is the better passer between the two, but ifedi is the better "athlete" and i luv having "dual threat" qb's...
