No offense but, this listing is flat out wrong. Southern is at the top of all lists as it relates to marching band.

No offense but, this listing is flat out wrong. Southern is at the top of all lists as it relates to marching band. i agree that this poll is not an accurate representation of the best hbcu bands in the country. now don't get me wrong, i absolutely luv the bgmm as much as anybody. but i don't believe in misrepresenting anything, i'm a straight shooter. i call things the way that i truly see it whether its popular with our fellow aggies or not. i do however believe that the bgmm is one of the best in the land, but i wouldn't say they are "the best". and i'm not gone put words in thrilla's mouth, but that's probably why he prefixed the title of this thread with, "For whatever this is worth"... |

BGMM took a serious "L" from NSU last year at homecoming. Hopefully they are better this year. They miss 2 very important games last year that left a bad taste in many fans mouth

I don't care if it's a preseason football poll or band poll, it don't mean squat until the action starts. It's nice to be thought of so highly by other folks before the season but the Blue & Gold Marching Machine doesn't depend on others opinions. That's why they practice so hard and outwork other bands. KAOS! |

The preseason poll is based on the final rankings from last year, we and JSU were 1&2 the last 2 years so that is why we are where we are
