. In talking with my aunt who is a FAMU graduate . she said back in the day there was a song that A&T always praise and song that would get War Memorial Stadium rocking when A&M came to town but she could not remember it's name only the Melody. I guess the transition to Wine and Cheese some old traditions just got lost during the transition..

Morgan State’s “We are the Bears” is my favorite. They be getting it in at their games ...i cant lie, every time I go down to O’burg to watch us go against SCSU, I can’t wait until they break out “Pass the Peas.”
I think it is more than a worthwhile project to get the band to construct another hype song. Get a tight bassline, have a catchy riff from the horns, get a simple Aggie chant together and it’s a wrap for eternity....

The opening fanfare the Band has been playing as the football team runs onto the field during home games is one (Smash Somethin')
"Gimmie That" is another one that's played after our fight song during touchdowns (forgive me if I butchered the game)
And most importantly, the Band's Tunnel back into the stands after halftime.
Those are the 3 most prominent Football Band traditions I can think of.

If we never played those songs again I wouldn’t be hurt or even notice.

I thoroughly enjoy Smash Something and the tunnel. Now, Gimmie That isn't for me, but the students seem to get into it.

I would like something with that FENCEWALK by MANDRILL introduction or maybe just take the song and put a Aggie Twist on . Because when you hear that Fencewalk introduction not help but stand up .

For a while it was “Before I Let Go” with the AGGIE PRIDE chant. When was this? 80’s and 90’s. The band still plays it every now and then.

Smash something is still a great "come of the locker room" song.
Gimmie That is kinda outdated.
Aggie Spirit is a favorite with a 65 and over crowd.
Probably time to add a new hype song to the playlist.

I guess the transition to Wine and Cheese some old traditions just got lost during the transition.. we became a wine and cheese crowd when we priced out our local community... Sent from my SM-G950U using proboards

What made the crowds electric in the 90s then?

I dont mind the traditional fight song right after the touchdown. They have added this over the last few years. It sounds really really good on tv. And they have timed it to end right at the extra point kick. The songs after that the "hype" song could be more traditional..ex sc state "get up for the bulldogs"
Something that everyone can get into. Corporate thuggin aint it. The A-g-g-i-e whaat..is too complicated. Its good for the students but not the whole crowd.
But it doesnt matter what they play if they insist on sitting on the end blaring to a half empty away side. You cant hear what they are playing anyway. Move the band to the endzone or the away side and you will see a dramatic increase in crowd participation.
P.S. they need a first down song and a third down stop song and it would be perfect.
