IDK, you can't tell if it's the beginning, the end, or how long. But the sheer number that seem to be participating pushes it beyond just teasing and into the intimating realm. This doesn't looks like the old gauntlet of years gone by, they seem to following the guy. The last thing we need on campus is a tit for tat retribution escalation. As with anything in life people see what they wanna see , because there is no sound there is no way way to put this into perspective . Someone made mention of E Bell participating, the only thing I saw him do was move out of the young man's way .I also saw Prestige in the video ,didn't see him do anything and it appears he didn't say anything, let's not jump to conclusions . And if they were all walking the same way they weren't following him . No need to do a PR campaign ,BTW the freshmen moved on campus last Saturday .Lastly this is nothing like "the gauntlet" of days gone by ,if it was he would have pissed his pants ,LOL . If it were my child I would tell him it's a cold, hard world out here ,you gotta let some stuff roll off your back .Now if it gets physical that's a different story ,no harm no foul,

Well i know first hand his parents are not pleased, the kid is shaken up a bit, and he is nervous about walking around campus now. Really? I know what I'd tell my son ... BTW, my son attended and graduated from A&T. I'd tell my son to "grow a pair" .

The fact that several of you posters would intimate that the kid needs to "grow a pair" as opposed to calling out the clear despicable behavior of the crowd that was following and teasing the kid is mind-boggling. In fact, for grown adults to downplay the cowardly bullying behavior of the crowd is worse than the students actual behavior. I love A&T ball as much as the next alumni but these young guys need to be reprimanded at a minimum (for their own good). Only one or two of these kids will be fortunate enough to play in the league, the rest need to use school and athletics to grow as mature young men of good character. We already have a bully running this country, is that the kind of young men we want to develop to represent our brand. Cowards bully people, real, secure men and leaders treat other people with decency and respect.

Without sound you can only figure out so much.
He was supposedly being bullied for what he was wearing. I know I'm old as hell but he didn't appear to be wearing anything out of the ordinary. Yet he was being "bullied" by a bunch of dudes wearing clothes they didn't pay a dime for? I think we can strike that part out. I grew up joning on people all day every day. The more people you could make laugh at the other person the better. It's totally cultural, maybe moreso in the deep south where I come from than other places, but even some of the white kids I grew up with did it. If you show up at an hbcu, it's gonna happen.
I went through some isht with some football players three separate times during my frosh year at T. I'm older and wiser now but all three times I could've and should've gotten my rass kicked by the football team members. The first time I was walking up the sidewalk and a few players were walking towards me. I moved to the right to get out of their way and one of the players (a big, drunk rass lineman) moved in the same direction. I moved to the left to get out of his way and he moved in the same direction I did again. So I walked right into him and he swung his arms in the air theatrically and yelled "was I in your way muthaphucka?!?" I ignored him and he yelled it louder as his boys egged him on. I turned around and yelled "yes, but look at your big rass and look at my little rass. You ain't even supposed to be fighting me. Why you messing with me, large rass nyicca?" That ended that.
The second time was during Aggiefest. Same dude. Drunk. Same thing, this time in front of the caf. This time I was drunk too and I yelled "you did the same isht my first week. You ain't my type mane. I already told you you ain't supposed to be messing with me with your eating up all the fish and making Parker Bros. close early rass." His boys pulled him away laughing before he flattened me.
Third time was summer school. I was staying in Cooper and some of the team (it was always the damned linemen) were sitting on my brand spanking new Sentra drinking. I saw them from my window, grabbed my keys, walked outside, got in my car, and tried to run their asses over. I went and got a bucket of chicken from Bojangles and came back and parked. They were still there sitting on their own vehicles like they should have been in the first place. They remembered me from dealing with their now failed out of school homeboy and said I had heart and gave me dap. I shared chicken with them and they shared some Cisco with me.
Long story, but point is if somebody had a phone and an Instagram account and said "the football linemen are bullying this poor little freshman" the first time it happened, none of us would have grown. I ended up going to a housewarming party in DC years later for one of those linemen. Another one helped me from being almost passed out drunk on the strip up to my room my sophomore year homecoming. My case was probably the best case scenario. Worst case would be if the kid comes back and shoots up everybody. But the bottom line is nobody quite knows what's happening here so in essence the kid will have to "grow a pair" and deal with it properly, whether it be report it as bullying behavior or let the person who post it know she needs to quit taking isht out of context when it involves him.

We already have a bully running this country, is that the kind of young men we want to develop to represent our brand. Cowards bully people, real, secure men and leaders treat other people with decency and respect. just to me "personally", if nobody threatens you or puts their hands on you, then it ain't bullying. there's no law against "teasing". now it may not be the smartest thing in the world to do because some folk will retaliate "violently". so i don't condone that kind of conduct. but at the same time, i don't otherwise see it as a "crime" either. and i didn't see anything wrong with e. bell's conduct, he didn't really participate, he was just there. kids will be kids, even if they're legally young adults. i took plenty of teasing directed to myself growing up but i also dished out equally as much teasing as well. when you're that young, its all fair game as far as i'm concerned as long as you don't take it too far, don't threaten or place your hands on nobody. i don't mean no offense to nobody, but i swear that "grow a pair" comment made me laugh so hard that it "literally" brought tears to my eyes! dang near fell outta my chair laughing when i read that! that's the best one liner i've read all year long, omg!!

i don't think anybody is condoning that conduct but its true, being teased is a part of growing up. hail, you think this is bad, he wouldn't have lasted 2 days if he had to ride the school bus that i rode to school every day when i was growing up. i've been teased easedtejust about everybody i knew growing up has been teased at one time or another. and i've been on both ends. hey, its a part of growing up, not the end of the world... Sent from my SM-G950U using proboards You know that is all good and looks like fun until you tease the wrong kid . Like what happened in 72 when some BROTHERS under the tree disrespected the wrong young lady and her brother and his friends showed up from the Grove, Hill and Southside and the campus police where called because Connie bull knocked out one of the students and the campus put the Cosmos Club off limits to A&T and Bennett students ...LOL . All because someone said the wrong thing to the wrong person. As I tell my kids be cautious what you say to people because you will never know what forums it may come back to you as .

He was a Greensboro legend.
