A&T Men's Golf to Host MEAC Championships NCATAGGIES.COM Tue, Aug 20
EAST GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T men’s golf releases its schedule for the 2019-20 season that features hosting the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championships, April 10-12 at Bryan Park. Hosting the MEAC men’s golf championships is a plan that has come together for Aggies head coach Richard Watkins. “When we started the golf programs, having the MEAC come here for their championship was a goal we set,” said Watkins. “For North Carolina A&T men’s golf to have an opportunity to showcase the magnificent and challenging golf course at Bryan Park is a great step in the right direction for the program. We are super excited about having the MEAC come to Greensboro.” Bryan Park is a par-72, 7,057-yard course that opened in 1974 and was modified in 1988. It has Bentgrass greens and Bermuda fairways. The course received four stars from Golf Digest and was selected as the best golf course in a Greensboro News & Record Reader’s Choice Tops In the Triad Contest. Before the Aggies get to the MEAC championships in the program’s third season, the Aggies will open the season with the Black College Hall of Fame tournament in Atlanta, Sept. 27-28. The men then travel to Maryland for two tournaments beginning with the UMES Invitational, Oct. 15-16 in Princess Anne, Md., and the Towson Invitational, Oct. 19-20 in Towson, Md.
