Has there been any sightings of Kwe Parker on campus and what is the prospect for the big Scottish kid Morrice! In my opinion Maye and the freshman need to push Langley whose point guard play is mediocre at best. He is a decent player but he played the most minutes (28 per game) and only averaged 7.1 points (the 6 assists were ok). More importantly, he only shot 56 % from the free throw line and a horrible 28 % from beyond the arc. If your point guard is not threat from three in today's college game and cannot make free throws, you can't win close games or beat good teams. Hopefully, he is working on this part of his game. My understanding is Maye is a great shooter. Kwe & Harry will be here next week. You can make a fair critique that Kam regressed in shooting from 2017-18 to 2018-19. From what I saw, he's definitely put a lot of work into that this summer. And the energy/skill that Tyler, Andre and even the freshmen "Iso" Fred Cleveland and Brandon Barron are bringing is pushing everybody. That was fun to see. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4279819/kameron-langleyBut to say that Kam's PG play is mediocre is a stretch. The A&T all-time assists record is 582 by Ice Griffiths. Kam is at 385 after 2 seasons. with well over a 2:1 assist/TO ratio. I challenge anyone to go back over A&T stats from the past 20 years and find PGs who've averaged more than 4 APG with an A/TO of 2:1 or better. IMO, Kam's best 2 years are ahead of him as an upperclassman. And with the weapons around him... he may blow that assist record out of the water on the way to 20+ wins and a MEAC title.

and i wouldn't necessarily say that 28% from the three is "horrible". i think "horrible" is a bit too strong. to me, i look for most guards to knock down the three at a 33% clip minimum. so i agree that 28% is below where it should be for most guards, but i wouldn't say its "horrible".
i like kam's game but like lenman said, i would like to see his outside shot improve. and i'd also like to see him spend less time trying to be so "cool" in front of the crowd. just play ball, play "hard", play with "intensity" and leave all the "cool" stuff for off the court...

I’m tripping off of lenman1 saying 6 assists per game is okay...dude was one of the top assist leaders IN THE NATION.....AS A SOPHOMORE! Don’t be surprised if he leaves A&T as one of the best point guards ever. He’s not a finished work of art, but I like what he’s put on the canvas this far. His floor leadership still remains the major factor which will determine how much we accomplish as a team over these next 2 years....

My main bone-of-contention is that, as a point guard, he's gotta shoot better from the FT Line.

I saw a article on social media that UNCG wanted to get 10,000 fans to show up for this game and they are promoting the hell out of it. Obviously this game is very important to them and they are going all out for it. Guess they've finally stepped out of our athletic shadow and they are feeling good about it. This game will be a fight for bragging rights and they are taking it very seriously.

From August 1st until late-October, they are a local media afterthought because of...AGGIE FOOTBALL AGGIE FOOTBALL AGGIE FOOTBALL AGGIE FOOTBALL AGGIE FOOTBALL ...and I love that!
But we've got to step-up-our-game in basketball promotions, too. Hopefully, we will really start pushing Aggie Basketball (social media and mainstream media, as well) and get back in front of their attempt to regain some media presence in The Triad.

The commercial is shot. It's a matter of days right now.

We are playing them too early. However, we must win this game because the N&R "Battle For Guilford's Best" declared uncg the winner of the Team Category and A&T second place. I assume they did not consider football, track and field, baseball volleyball or bowling. But of course the majority of the voters have no idea of athletics at A&T. We must get back to the Fort doctrine, you better beat your next door neighbor or they will continue to have the recruiting edge and you remain the step brother or sister.

Its first game for each team so I dont think that creates an advantage or disadvantage. Plus I am sure we will have a few closed door scrimmages with a few NC area teams

Its first game for each team so I dont think that creates an advantage or disadvantage. Plus I am sure we will have a few closed door scrimmages with a few NC area teams It was our first game last year and they ran us out of our arena. Now we are going to their place. Everyone is excited about our team, and the usual "coaches" talk about the greatness of our transfers and recruits. We have listened to the "stands coaches" every year telling us, the faithful and true believers that we have an "excellent team this year and will take it all". What happens? We do a deep dive into depression from losing. Coaches Corbett and Irvin should sprinkle some of that magic dust down from the Heavens on our coaches and players. We can't continue to lose to them, they have told us that this is their city. The people in the city have validated it by voting them the best team in Guilford county. Building a team every year won't get it done. However, I'll be there cheering the team on. We are playing for respect and regional dominance.
