It was, but I remember hurricanes/tropical storms hit the coast those last couple of years.

Can someone pull the Aggie Eagle claasic attendance when it was played in Raleigh? I think the attendance was shrinking with each passing year.... all of the attendance figures when we played in raleigh (from '94 to '05) used to be on the wikipedia page but its not there anymore. but i believe we topped out at around 50k. i don't remember it ever being any less than 30k unless we had hurricane rain or something. but in general, attendance in the latter years began to drop because a&t was "dominating" the series really bad. of the 12 consecutive years we played in raleigh, a&t was 10-2 against nccu and had actually beaten nccu 12 years in a row from '89 to '01... boxtorow.com/2016/11/aggie-eagle-got-to-be-nc/In 1994, the Aggie-Eagle Classic began and was played at NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium. The game would generally get 50,000 fans in attendance. As the years went on, A&T started to dominate the series and interest started to wane. After some financial disagreements with the City of Raleigh the last game of the Aggie-Eagle Classic was played in 2005 with the Eagles winning in dramatic fashion, 23-22. The coach for NCCU then; Rod Broadway.

i know we've had this discussion in previous years, but now that the buzzards have returned to the meac for almost 10 years, i'm wondering if any opinions have changed. plus, not much going on this time of year, so there's not much else to talk about. i've attended every aggie/eagle football game (both home and away) since we resumed playing the buzzards about a decade ago. most of the those games were scheduled at the end of the season usually in november when the weather starts getting "cold". over the last 5 or 6 years or so, both us and the buzzards were top meac championship contenders which should draw more interest from the fans. however, we've been playing those "championship implication" games in november and i don't recall us ever "selling out" aggie stadium during that time. to me, i think the "weather" has been a major factor in that regard. i can remember leaving the buzzards stadium one year before the game was over because i almost "froze to death" in the stands without a heavy coat on, i "literally" ran back to my vehicle as a means to keep warm and reduce the amount of time it would normally take to get to my parking space if i walked. so i think the cold weather "adversely" impacts attendance in november. when we last discussed this topic several years ago, "i think" most aggies preferred playing the buzzards at the end of the season. i suppose i was in the minority because i preferred to play the buzzards at the "beginning" of the season during labor day weekend since we drew our largest crowds during that time in the past. now that we've experienced november matchups with the buzzards when fan interest should've been at its peak, how do ya'll feel about continuing to play the buzzards in november? personally, i think we would "easily" sellout aggie stadium if we played the buzzards during labor day weekend. this year's elon game "might" bring 15k or 16k to aggie stadium during labor day weekend, whereas it would be an "easy" sellout if that were the buzzards (or even wssu). what's your take? stay the course? or, change the course? We have to from a revenue standpoint . Since we lose out on gate receipts when we play these white FCS school where they bring 5 of there alumni fans to the game and the fact we don't play WSSU anymore outside of homecoming this is the only game we play that has the potential of selling out.

This game has also benefited recently of NCCU and A&T being in contention for the title. After that 45 to 0 whopping last year...plus NCCU having a bad year, i cant see a huge turnout

The 2013 game was played in extreme, bitter cold (around 28 degrees at kickoff).
I remember it well because my father's funeral was the next day (Sunday) and it was even colder. They couldn't even do the burial until the ground thawed out on Tuesday.

No need to change the date.
There should never be tickets available for this game by the end of October. Just promote and market the game, for a change.

I agree. Also SCSU and FAMU travel well for the most part on the years they come to Greensboro.
