People may not have taken notice but our baseball program under Coach Ben Hall has been putting out as many, if not more, pro draftees than our football program over the last four years.

the only reason i don't get overly excited with mlb draftees is because the mlb draft has so many doggone rounds. whereas the nba only has 2 rounds and the nfl only has 7 rounds, but mlb has friggin' 40 rounds. and the vast majority of mlb draftees never play a single day of baseball in the majors.
according to a bleacher report article, mlb players who are drafted after the 20th round have "less than" a 7% chance of "ever" making it to the majors. and that's why i don't get overly excited with mlb draftees unless they're picked in the early rounds, i'd say the first 10 rounds...

And you think the majority of us don't know those odds? We're celebrating the fact that Leon as an A&T alumni is getting to live out his dream of being a professional baseball player. We'll let Leon determine how far he can take his career... not the odds.

We'll let Leon determine how far he can take his career... not the odds. nowhere did i ever state that i wouldn't pay tribute to leon or any other aggie baseball player who has been drafted. i never said he shouldn't be celebrated or that you or anybody else shouldn't celebrate him being drafted. so you're taking my comment completely out of "context". what i stated was that i don't get overly excited about it and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. some folk don't get excited about anything unless its football or basketball, and that's their right and they should not be "censured" for saying it. but i never thought there's something wrong with a person for not being excited about something. this should not be a message board where folk's comments are taken out of context or be chastised if they don't say what you want them to say...
