If I am not mistaken did we not finish at number 10 last year and beat this year's number 7 rated team plus the big win on the road at ECU. No respect but that's cool because I rather get respect on the playing field than on paper So let not take out our anger on some pencil pusher but on Elon And to be honest I was thinking more about Duke but now Elon is in the center of the 🎯 Can't wait AGGIE PRIDE PS there is a Elephant in the room that no-one wants to admit

Eh... we got a ranking. I'm good. Off the top of my head, we lost 14 starters, including 5 future A&T Hall of Famers and arguably the greatest QB in our history (IMO). We have a lot of questions to answer against Elon on August 31st. I believe we'll answer the bell. Off topic, but who are your 5 HOFers? Lamar Raynard Marquell Cartwright Darryl Johnson Julian McKnight Malik Wilson There's zero debate on the first 3. I would argue McKnight & Wilson based on All-MEAC selections and big game performances across 2017 and 2018... particularly McKnight coming back from injury in 2017 and Malik's returns in 2018.

i think our qb play is definitely important. but i think our "line play" on both sides of the ball is even more important and that's where my biggest concerns reside.
provided that kylil stays healthy, i think the key to our upcoming season will be "line play" both offensively and defensively. man, the target on our backs have never been bigger than it will be this coming season. this year's team must understand that it will not be "business as usual" in the eyes of our opponents.
its gonna be "extra difficult" this season largely because of the "success" we've had over the last 4 years or so. our guys had better be ready for a "dawg fight" every friggin' weekend cuz if they're not, it could be a long season in aggieland...

And it's a 10-year wait, anyhow. And fair or unfair, Hicks doesn't have any championship hardware. It's not just the stats. The context of the situation this current group accomplished their stats is important.

I know you won't trust me here but I would not be worried in the least bit about our offensive line. Although we lost 3 starters, 4 out of the 5 potential starters got plenty of playing time thanks to the rotations used last season. Our OL and WR corps will be the most cohesive parts of the team this fall, pending injuries of course.

YAWN....it ain’t where you start; it’s where you finish... Bingo! Let's worry more about winning than what others think of us.

...understanding all that y'all said, I'm still a little pissed at a #25 pre-season ranking this year. The coaches and players should be too.

...and Mo' Hicks in not in our Hall of Fame yet? Hell, the way that he ran through their defense for years, I think that he's already in FAMU's HOF!

Kylil has more potential to make WTF plays than any starting QB we've had in the last decade. I would say Kwashaun Quick, but he's more tackle-breaking ability and a better arm than Quick. That x-factor is something we haven't seen this spring because of Kylil's recovery, but it's there. Kylil has been grinding his whole career for the chance to be the guy in Fall 2019 and got his degree in May 2019 in the process. I can't wait to see him ball out this fall.

I can't wait to see him ball out this fall. shoot, everybody on this doggone message board knows that oleschool ain't got to be sold on kylil cuz that's my doggone dude!! dang, durham! i thought i was the only one around here who's literally "anxious" to see kylil run the show for an entire season. glad me and coach washington aren't the only ones who have complete confidence in this guy. and i "totally" agree with your assessment of kylil's abilities. he's definitely a true "dual threat" qb and a lot of folks "underestimate" his passing ability. kylil gives this offense the ability to answer "anything" an opposing defense can possibly throw at us. that's why i say if the o-line comes correct, "nobody" in the meac will be able to stop our offense! assuming kylil stays healthy, i'm looking for a very exciting season from #10. i expect him to make the all meac team for sure. i just need him to do a better job of "protecting himself" when he runs. if he does that and given the numerous "weapons" at his disposal, it should be a very "explosive" season on the offensive side as long as our o-line gets the job done...

#25 is shameful and a setup. Starting at 25 leaves you no room for error at all. No other HBCU is in the op 25 and if they enter it that would mean they probably knocked us off. Its clearly a setup that if we don't make the celebration bowl we wont go to the playoffs either. So where you start does matter in this case.

In another poll, Alcorn is ranked at 21 and we aren't at all.
