Saw a partial interview with Tarik on Good Morning Football at the Bears' practice facility. He was sitting in a chair on a podium with media people and another player. A media person ask him if he could "free rap". Naturally he rose well above the challenge. I was disappointed that they did not show all of the interview.

bearswire.usatoday.com/2019/07/23/pro-football-focus-ranks-tarik-cohen-as-top-10-rb-in-nfl/Pro Football Focus ranks Tarik Cohen as top-10 RB in NFLDavid Montgomery is considered the favorite to lead the Chicago Bears rushing attack in 2019, but it’s Tarik Cohen who is the darling of the analytics world. Pro Football Focus published their ranking of the top 10 running backs in the NFL entering the 2019 season, and Cohen surprisingly checked in at No. 9. Cohen is a threat out of the backfield in the passing game. In order to improve his quarterback’s efficiency, he should be looked at early and often this season. He finished fourth among running backs by combining for 30 first downs and touchdowns through the air. He averaged 7.6 yards after the catch and forced 16 missed tackles on 71 receptions. With rookie David Montgomery the likely team leader in carries, Cohen’s best usage should come via the passing game, which should help Trubisky. Finishing as the second-most valuable running back per PFF’s WAR metric, Cohen is a prime example of an NFL back with high-end successes across nearly all of our advanced receiving stats. He led all qualifying backs in yards per route run (2.37), logged just one drop and recorded an impressive 111.0 passer rating when targeted. Cohen certainly has a knack for making the big play. He is, after all, known as chicken salad because of his ability to turn, well, you get the idea. But no matter how productive Cohen is on a per-touch basis, he lacks the requisite size to ever be taken seriously as a full-time starter. And while that feels like an unfair conclusion to reach, it’s simply reality. Cohen’s ranking on this list is more about the damage he does as a receiver. He’s essentially become the NFL’s new Darren Sproles; the diminutive runner who can do damage with his legs but is especially valuable as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. The Bears are lucky to have him. With Montgomery and Mike Davis set to be the early-down thumpers, expect Cohen to be used in even more creative ways in 2019.

yep, i hadn't seen him all preseason either but i figured the coaches didn't need to see cohen in preseason, he's a proven commodity now. he's an "all pro" and "pro bowl" participant. given his size, no need to risk injury in the preseason...
