Pass was extremely to high Don't make excuses for Ron. If Hunt is trying to be any type of WR on this level or next, he HAS to make catches on balls he can get his hands on. I'm rooting for Ron... but this is the same issue as last year. He's gotta get better at catching, period. And people think Prestige Edwards won't get playing time. If he's able to use his height properly, run routes correctly, and come down with the ball more than Ron Hunt and others, than he will be on that field more often than not.

You really think a true freshman is going come in here and take meaningful playing time away from a senior who played in all 12 games last season and had the most yards per catch average on the team?
And you are basing this off just one practice rep on the first day of spring camp?
C'mon folks. Let's try to not overreact here.

...... do know who was throwing him the ball? I was saying the same thing who threw the ball that was a terrible pass. One if you ask me both the receiver and DB needs a lot of work . I will start with the receiver first : 1. He gave away his route before he even lift the line and even then after the DB turned his back on the receiver after jamming him (that is a no no on any level) , instead of following the DB to give him the impression of another route then bracking of into his route he ran right back into the DB..lol There by making it look like the DB made a good play on the ball . 2 . The DB opened his hips to soon after the jam there by turning his back on the receiver even if it was for a Split Second you just don't do that . Good receivers would have capitalize on that mistake. Now as far as the pass goes it was high but this is (Jump Ball U ) if I am not mistaken lol. That ball should have been caught I was always taught that if you get two hands on the ball you should catch it that is one thing Captain Pollard alway stressed to us receivers all the time when he coached at A&T . From what I saw the receivers hands were in the perfect position to have come down with that ball . If this receiver is a Sr he should not be running routes like he is a Freshman . Hell Dexter Feaster would have ate that DB'S lunch. But it's as someone stated that what spring ball is for . But for one thing that receiver needs to learn how to get off the line in press coverage or the need to move him in side to the slot .

It's one pass, so let's move on. and if Prestige hits the weights you won't be able to keep him off the field.

JaMichael Baldwin in the Slot.
Chance Pride in the Slot.
T. Higgins at tight end.

Explain to me where you guys think Edwards is gonna be able to get meaningful minutes this year? Bah and McDaniel have to prove it. Pride has to as well but Prestige isn't winning up in that role much as a freshman. Besides, I clearly remember Elijah Bell taking some spots away from upperclassman as a true freshman. It's not like our route tree is overly complex anyway and the kid could've been playing in the American Conference as a true freshman.

time will tell, but edwards would scare the living daylights out of me if he played at or near the weight that he appears to be. kinda reminds me of raynard when he was a freshman, so scared he'd get injured anytime he got hit...

Bell had the body type and the strength to compete at the fcs level "immediately", edwards doesn't. but it doesn't matter what we think, the coaches will make that decision... My first sentence was "if prestige hits the weights". In my opinion the only locks at WR are Leslie and Bell. Everything else is up for discussion.

I know you are watching some Spring ball, but there is still a competition in the Summer and you aren't the best source for talent evaluation the last 10 years, LOL.

So long as no nicknames are involved we may be ok.

Oleschool, dont waste your energy trying to speak logic to these clowns.
My credit score is like an 800 when it comes to evaluating talent.
Nobody was saying a thing about Zach Leslie last year before I started posting his practice videos.
