Definitely not a normal Aggie/Central game, but the atmosphere was pretty fun inside Corbett tonight.

The Aggies Won 74-52. 13-3 conf. We started clicking. Norfolk will be Hot! Great... I tried to avoid looking at this score until I knew the game was over. Beating NCCU twice really feels great! Don't know how we will do in the MEAC Tournament but the team is peaking at the right time. Great win tonight and great regular season. Now let's go get us a championship!

Definitely not a normal Aggie/Central game, but the atmosphere was pretty fun inside Corbett tonight. NCCU's students didn't really travel, either, even though they're still in school. The A&T adults held it down, though.

Aggies finish strong, clobber rival N.C. Central in regular-season finale By Jeff Mills jeff.mills@greensboro.com N.C. A&T seniors Milik Gantz (left) and Amari Hamilton celebrate during the second half of Thursday's 74-52 victory over N.C. Central. Hamilton sank four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 19 points, while Gantz scored 10 of his 12 points during a 19-5 scoring run late in the second half. H. Scott Hoffmann /News & Record
GREENSBORO — In college basketball, particularly in one-bid leagues, everyone wants to peak in March, saving their best for last. Just like N.C. A&T. Senior guard Amari Hamilton scored 19 points off the bench, and point guard Kam Langley matched a career-high with 17 points to lead the Aggies to a 74-52 victory over archrival N.C. Central at the Corbett Sports Center on Thursday night. Senior guards Milik Gantz and Qua Copeland added 12 points apiece for A&T (18-12, 13-3 MEAC), which played perhaps its best game of the season in its home finale to complete a two-game sweep of Central (15-15, 10-6). “When you can play like this in March, that’s huge,” A&T coach Jay Joyner said. “You’re going into postseason play, and to close out like this in your last game of the regular season is huge. It gives all these young men the confidence that’s required during March Madness.” The Aggies will be the No. 2 seed at the MEAC Tournament next week at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va. The Aggie community came to have a good time and enjoy a great game. I have said it before, and I'll say it again, Gantz is the best player on the team. He understands the game.
