I am starting to get a bad feeling about this project. Initially, there were reports that we were supposed to break ground in 2019 ... but there has been zero construction outside the south endzone of the stadium and very little information concerning the new complex since last summer. Also, I could not find any mention of this project in the recent BOT meeting report. Has A&T decided to just pull the plug on this idea?

It seems like there has been a freeze on new construction projects for some reason.
Maybe they wanted to just concentrate on getting the new student union up and running before doing anything else.

It seemed to be a very aggressive schedule from the start and when Hilton was asked where the funding was coming from, he didn't really give a good answer.

Good looking building. An added bonus will be that some of the chain link will be gone as well.

Is there not a transparency process of announced plans. Is there not a protocol of updates with said projects. If the AAF is funding any portion of projects as a matter of accountability there should be some type of reporting out process.

To my initial understanding, the new Athletic Buiding's cost is to be split 50/50 between the University and the AAF

I don't think the school hide their plans. Do you really believe that AAF has enough money to build a building? Even 50%?

I'm not searching for documents or anything, my point is that at any % should warrant some type of report out. Its just a matter of transparency that most people would require. If you personally invest in a venture even at 10% wouldn't you require some type of report back on how your money is being used. I am a recent addition to the AAF, and small as my monthly donation is - I am more than interested in the progress of the stadium. I don't think it's asking a lot. I am really surprised there is not a process.

Remember, the Aggie Athletic Foundation is not the same as NC A&T Foundation which is where the big assets are located. All of that money is for the general needs of all the students. So, upgrades and other wish list athletic projects will have to come from us donating and creatively raising money. Because we know that the state does not fund or support athletics. The university has a fund raising campaign going this month. I'm sure many of you have received calls or literature in the mail asking for donations.

According to the latest BOT minutes, its still in the plans along with the new track surface ($1.5M). If I had my guess, I'd assume we're focused on the current projects (Agriculture facility at the farm, Engineering bldg, new dorm).
But maybe at the end of the season we'll know something. This would be a great question to ask at the next AAF meeting this week.
